Wonderful café!! Friendly employees and very, very good meals. My favorites are all the egg dishes, a delicious yoghurt/kefir/labneh (sp?) with fresh fruit, and the pasta. The pasta is absolutely delicious.

Love love love! One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! I live far away from Manhattan beach but when I go there I always have my breakfast in this place. Good good, coffee, matcha latte, service, everything is perfect.

We came here on a Sunday with no expectations because we had our cat with us and we’re just looking for a pet-friendly spot to have some food. But everything we ordered were great! The mushrooms in the Chefs breakfast were super flavorful, avocado toast came with fresh fruits on the side. What a great find! Highly recommend.

Happy (accident) to find a location that does not only open early, but serves Italian food that early... When: Went on a Saturday at 8 AM. Parking: Plenty of Street parking but metered at $2/hr. Where: 5 minute walking distance from pier. Offers plenty of breakfast options, coffee&tea, pastries, and brunch/lunch options. Thought it was a tiny bit pricy for breakfast spot but cleanliness, service, location, and food was spot on. Every bite I took had an explosion of flavor, in a good way. Pasta was not overwhelming. Nice and creamy enough with the bacon fat renderings and a touch of lemon citrus to cut it. I don't know how they did it but everything was amazing. Will come back again.

This place is just awesome. Each dish is made with care and the freshest ingredients. I highly recommend their wedge salad and add shrimp (pictured). Also the breakfasts are super good and fresh.

Great place near Downtown Manhattan Beach. You order, take a table number, and then find a table. It's much larger inside than it looks. Pkenty of tables in the back. Great atmosphere. Tables have linens. Parking is always a questiion for restaurants in the downtown area. There is a structure just behind (East) of the restaurant. If that's full, try the Metlox structure. The line may be out the door but it moves quickly. They are also quick to serve and the tables turn at a good oace. We didn't have to wait to sit at a table. Now for the food. Many different options depending if you are in the mood for a salad, sandwich or breakfast item. Coffee or tea drinks looked amazing. Two of us shared a very generously sized salad and a salmon veviche appetizer. Both were delicious (and I don't usually like salmon!). Very fresh salad with just the right amount of dressing. We met with the owner. Definitely cares about customer service and her business. Definitely going back again!

The flavors are insane and the attention to detail is off the charts. I spoke to a waitress and soon realized she had to be the owner due to her positive energy. I left a long line at a restaurant next door and I'm so glad I tried something different. We will be back and everything was good!!!!

This was the cutest brunch spot a walk away from beachside. They go back to the breakfast basics and do it perfectly, and you have to go here on your beach day! Avocado toast - this is probably the best avocado toast I've ever had! Their bread has the perfect crunch and chew, the poached egg was cooked perfectly, and the flavor and texture blend was perfect (and the cilantro cream ) Get this! Simple breakfast - doing breakfast basics right! The best fluffy eggs with the best bread. Even their fruit is delish- they coat it in lemon and mint to have more zing! Can't go wrong with its simplicity. Instagram- @joangela.eats

I love this place but boy is it overpriced! Pros: -Beautiful location in MB -Staff is all lovely and accommodating of requests and dietary restrictions -Restaurant itself is darling (though I prefer the outside seating) -Serving Breakfast or Lunch so that's fun! Also wine now available! -Favorite menu item: Kumquat Quinoa Salad w/Salmon (really expensive at $27) -Drink: I love their Beet Lavender Latte ($6)! This is probably what keeps me coming back for the price gauging abuse. This latte is unique in flavor and so comforting to the tastebuds (add Pistachio milk for another $1 and another level of yummm). Not caffeinated - it's not coffee! Cons: -Yep--PRICEY! And I feel bad because I want to tip 20% but honestly I'm doing the work of ordering myself and don't really get water refills often (outside customer problems) so it's hard to justify the service at 20% when they are charging a high price point at the start. -It feels like a cafe vibe but price is more like a full on sit-down experience price. -The quality of food is great but still isn't worth the cost of it. -The wait time does feel a little longer than it should. Not a deal breaker but for a "cafe" you expect faster service. -Street metered parking or Garage pay parking if you're out of the area Overall, I do love this place and will keep coming back. I'd recommend it if occasionally splurging is your thing.

This place is incredible! Everything on the menu is spectacular and the owner is so great. If you close your eyes, you will feel like you are in a cafe in Paris eat your fresh omelette and and coffee. I can’t imagine anyone who would not enjoy this place. Highly recommend.

Easily the cutest brunch place in the South Bay... best food and coffee, and generally immaculate vibes. Everyone working here is kind and helpful, and there are lots of vegan/gluten friendly, etc. options. My favorite spot for casual or fancy coffee/breakfast/brunch!!
