Cute place, great service, but food is mediocre at best. I did enjoy the biscuits. The skirt steak looked like a pretty pathetic piece of meat. Definitely didn't look like any skirt steak I've ever had before. I wouldn't have served that piece if I was the chef. The scallops came with 3 but looked like they were sliced in half horizontally. The dessert missed the mark completely. The Elvis is a plate of pudding, chocolate sauce and more creamy peanut butter substance. Maybe would be ok to come for a drink at the bar at best.

Food was excellent and so was the service. Menu is creative with lots of choices of dishes to share. We enjoyed the biscuits and the fries and the pretzel. Pastas were also excellent as was the grilled skirt steak. Our server made some helpful suggestions too.

We were able to get and get seated promptly, brunch crowd was pretty much gone. Our server was also the bartender. He's a gem. He made us feel so welcomed, checked on us often, refilled our water and made the BEST drinks. I could've just hung with him all day. Food was great. Dipping sauce for potatoes is divine. But really, our server made the whole experience spectacular.

What happened to this place? Before the remodel it was a great place to go for a solid meal. Now it's so loud that my friend and I had to yell across the table to hear each other. They seated us 20 minutes after the reservation time. The waiting area is awkwardly small and the hosts seemed uninterested in directing traffic. Service took forever. Bar service was poor. An old fashioned is made with a single block ice cube, not a bunch of small cubes. Food was good even if service of food was poor.

One of my favorite restaurants in LA. If you're in the area and looking for a place with great food, drinks, and a cool vibe, M.B. Post is a must.

Always great food and cocktails. Max was a great server- knew the menu well and knows exactly how to guide you.- and had great energy. It was a great welcome back after not dining there in years.

Amazing food and ambience, but incredibly small portions for the price you are paying. I would go back if I was invited, but probably not on my own. The food also took a very long time to come out... we ordered five shareables before the main courses, and they each came out one at a time at least 10-15 min apart. Very interesting concept.

The food was good -- nothing spectacular. The flavors were good, and the dishes looked amazing, but the experience didn't really all come together. The chicken sandwich was particularly a let down. With the height of the biscuit, it was impossible to take a bite of the whole thing together, so you'd have to cut it up, but the crumbly-ness of the biscuit (which is kind of the point of the thing) made it difficult to cut a bite. Additionally, the breaking on the chicken didn't adhere to the meat well at all, so the bite you're left with is overall disappointing. Similarly, the reuben hash looked phenomenal, but it just sort of devolved into a sloppy mess. It might have worked better with a lot less kraut (or none at all IMO) and a thinner, crispier potato pancake on the bottom. Overall, the meal was ALMOST amazing but fell a little short.

This used to be our favorite brunch spot because of its rustic charm, community vibe, and delicious food. All of that has been remodeled to within an inch of its life. It now resembles a Marriott lobby. The food is fine, but the wonderful cast iron skillets of delicious breakfast treats that invariably left rings on the table have given way to unremarkable corporate food and ambiance. Even our waiter acknowledged the restaurant has changed, and not for the better. Sadly, we will not be returning. Lots of new spots have opened in MB, so we will be trying those.

(Dinner Service) It was wildly loud, the server had us repeat our words more than a few times. Why did it feel like a club inside there? The “world famous” biscuits were okay; it’s not anything I’d get again. Scallops/spaghetti/veggie risotto were great. Pork ‘ribeye’ was meh. All I could taste was kimchi and the balsamic sauce was very grainy and just didn’t work with the kimchi for me. The pork itself was cooked well.

Love the atmosphere of this place! We came here for brunch after the beach with a planned reservation. The waitstaff was really friendly and nice. We started out with a Bloody Mary. Super flavorful but a bit salty for my taste. The Cheddar Biscuits are super delish here! One of their most popular and must try. The Steak and Eggs were cooked well and full of flavor. The burrito was very filling but found the white rice to be a bit too plain. The Pecan Sticky Buns was a great way to end. Not overly decadent but hit the sweet tooth.

3.5 stars. Food was delicious, but the menu very limited on a Sunday. When we asked our server the difference between an extra brut and brut champagne he told us that Prosecco was from Italy and Champagne was from France. ?

The biscuits were delicious, just the right amount of bacon and the whipped butter was a nice touch. The tuna was plated much different than expected - consider it a $20 appetizer. 5-6 slices of tuna on a bed of white bean puree with truffle vinaigrette and a few slices of radish.

The avocado lobster toast was the star of the meal- large chunks of claw lobster meat with just enough avocado and a packed egg and spicy harissa sauce. This would be one item worth coming back for.

Con - servers don’t know the wine menu, which is ok if there is someone they can go ask (ours didn’t). Also, the limited menu (at 2pm we couldn’t order the charcuterie board because it’s not served until 3). I understand different lunch and dinner menus but it was on the menu presented to us which was a bit confusing and also - there is no cooking involved. They weren’t crowded so I’m disappointed they didn’t accommodate.

Parking is hard to find, and nonexistent if there is an event going on. Prices reflect location, portions on the smaller side. No real views of the water from inside.

Parking: Use public surface street or lot/garage parking.

Kid-friendliness: Not a place for kids. Based on the menu items and ambiance.

Wheelchair accessibility: ADA accessible.
