Hi Ruthie! Here's a 5-star review for your favorite Italian restaurant: I absolutely love dining at Nando! The authentic Italian food transports me right back to Italy with every bite. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. The staff is incredibly attentive and welcoming everytime we dine there. I highly recommend trying their gnocchi- it's my favorite item on the menu. Local insider tip - the family style lasagna for takeout is absolutely delicious and incredibly reasonably priced!

The fact that Nando is not the #1 ranked restaurant in MB, makes me question the relevance of all Yelp rankings, candidly. As a MB resident, I've been to every restaurant in town. Nando is the only place I take out of town guests excepting exceptional cuisine. I've had Italian life long New Yorkers tell me it may be the best Italian restaurant they have EVER been to ... need I review more:)? Exceptional food, wine and service that will not disappoint the most discerning restaurant goers.

How would you feel?We booked a reservation at Nando Trattoria on Valentine’s Day weeks in advance. We stumbled upon Nando back in early January. We had recently moved to Manhattan Beach, decided to walk around, made a reservation at a near by restaurant and got a glass of wine at Nandos bar top beforehand. We decided it was such a cute little spot we booked it for Valentine’s Day. Two days before our reservation they called us and asked us if we could move our reservation from 8pm to 8:30pm because they did not leave enough time for a table turn not a big deal but irritating because we had a babysitter who we now had to pay longer. We arrive at Nando get seated. 10-15min goes by the table next to us gets seated, 35mins go by no one has touched our table and we understand it’s Valentine’s Day it’s busy. Here’s when things took a turn. Remember the table that was seated next to us about 15min after we were seated. Believe it or not the server takes their food order first. We’re sitting there thinking okay annoying but that’s fine I’m sure we’re next. We have to be next right? Nope absolutely not. More time goes by so much more that the same table that got seated after us received their food order, started to eat and we still have yet to even order or be acknowledged. So how would you feel? It’s been almost an hour now. You’re sitting there feeling invisible, everyone else is being helped and you and your date are just sitting there being ignored. We walked out and left. The absolute cherry on top after all that waiting was the table that got seated after us eating their dinner before our order was even taken.I would love to know Nando Trattoria. Did you just forget we were even there? Or were we just not important enough for you to even take our order. We have never felt so disrespected, ignored and honestly invisible.

We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day one day early to avoid the crowds. We walked around Manhattan Beach and stumbled upon this cute trattoria. They seated us quickly even though we didn't have a reservation. We received the most attentive service. They went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfectly prepared. We ordered the scallop appetizer and the focaccia with truffle fondue. The focaccia was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely order this! For my entree, I ordered the rigatoni with wagyu beef ragout and my husband ordered the special turbot dinner. Both were excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, the ambiance warm and inviting and the service is outstanding. We will definitely be back!

What an amazing place. Food was out of this world, staff was extremely friendly, and it's super cute inside. Even had them pick a wine which was terrific. If you're on the fence-just try it, you won't regret it.
