Slay Italian Kitchen was a true disappointment. We enjoy other restaurants in this group, especially Fete, so we had high expectations. While the menu selections were appealing, the food execution missed the mark. The chicken piccata was dry and served in large chunks rather than traditional scallopine. The side of pasta was cold, overly cooked, and the sauce was excessively spiced. The Brussels sprouts were excellent and the standout dish of the meal. The pizza had far too much...
Food was great as well as price. A bit of a rocky start since we could not get any service - felt as if our table was not covered by any server. But, once that got sorted out service was excellent.
Very nice restaurant and atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly and the food and wine were very good. I had the pizza special with figs and prosciutto and my partner had the chicken piccata, both delicious. The space is relatively small and can be a little noisy especially if you are seated next to a family with a small and tired child but overall it was a very nice experience. We will be back.
