This is our absolute favorite restaurant! Chef Slay and his incredible staff always make our evening memorable. Highlights are the Crispy Greens, the Steak bites, and Cast Iron Shrimp. The cheesecake was an excellent ending to our meal!!

Service was good however the food was poor. The chicken parm was under, my fish was over, and my husband's fish stew was lack luster. The only tasty dish was the salmon. Way overpriced for what we ate.

We were seated at our reservation time. My fiancé's steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the beef stroganoff and it did not disappoint, was a flavorful twist on a classic.

Steak and beet salad so delicious and the twice baked potato yummy. Other food (sole, pasta, chicken parm all great as well) we ordered was really good as well. All the staff were super nice friendly and attentive. We will for sure be going back.
We have been to this restaurant several times. Recently quality of food has diminished, although service is always great. The Cesar salad was drenched with dressing, the oysters were really flavorless and the Prime New York steak was dry. Chocolate creme brulee was essentially chocolate mousse (and not good).

We had a superb dinner at Slay for Valentine's dinner. The staff and wait staff were great. The chef took time on a busy evening to walk around the dining room and check on each table.

Prime Rib was great, but my husband thought the Beef Stroganoff was absolutely incredible. He won't stop talking about it! Espresso martinis cannot be missed, you must have one!

Slay Steak & Fish has become a Manhattan Beach classic -- the staff is always happy to see you, and take amazing care of you. I've been 25 times (at least) and go back monthly. Food is consistently excellent. Chef David Slay is a staple of the MB community, he's nearly always on the scene and never fails to come by to greet the guests. We've lucky to have Slay Steak. And the steak is best in town, trounces the Arthur J (which is also excellent, but Slay edges them out!!)
Wonderful dinner experience! Great food, service, and atmosphere.

This place is amazing! Every dish we had was so good and the service was great! We were there celebrating a birthday and they were so kind to put a candle in the dessert and even sing a bit! The owner stopped by the table as well. Highly recommend!

We had a team diner and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Place was full but the service was fast and the staff attentive. We shared calamari and crudo and our party had the crusted sole, salmon and some filet mignon. Everything was well cooked to each of our preferences and we all appreciated the quality of the presented meals. Chocolate crème brûlées and crumbles to finish on a sweet note. Solid wine selection as well. A nice evening at Slay!

Took friends last night and they loved Slay. Food and service never disappoints and the fact that David Slay visits with patrons is an old school benefit. Makes everyone feel special and appreciated.

Intimate but energized atmosphere. Service was attentive and accommodating. Food was delicious. We had the bacon and eggs appetizer. Crab cake. Fish for main course. Chocolate crème brûlée and banana chocolate chip cake for dessert. All great. Top find in Manhattan Beach.
