“I tried the big breakfast burrito. Big on flavor, but no so big on size.“

“Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and thought they were pretty good. It’s true that this is not my favorite bagel spot in LA but I live very close by to it so it’s conveniently located for me and it really hit the spot this past Sunday morning. They don’t really have indoor seating, and it’s not very large on the inside because it is more of a to go type of spot however it’s not quite as quick as some of the other bagel spots. They seemed to have less staff than some of the others, so that could be the cause. The menu is quite large and they have a lot of great bagel flavor options. It’s located in a shopping mall so there’s plenty of free parking attached and close by. The lady behind the counter was polite and there were a lot of other customers in there as well so it seems like it’s a popular place.

My first visit I chose an Everything Bagel with cream cheese, avocado, and chorizo and enjoyed it. I wish the chorizo would’ve been spicier and had a little bit more flavor, but the other components were really good. The Everything Bagel was a little bit heavy on the sesame, but still I enjoyed it. We also tried one of the Garlic Bagels, and thought it was actually very nice. It was not overly garlicky but well balanced. I would give this place another try in the future and would recommend to anyone in the area.“

“Matcha review: I am YET to try a bagel which is embarrassing for obvious reasons, but Layla has an excellent matcha. Their cream top slaps, if you do dairy. Otherwise they have a solid regular matcha latte, hot or iced. The atmosphere is so bright and uplifting, and there is literally always a crowd/line (in a good way). I think it speaks for itself. Even weekdays are popping, but the line is totally doable. I come for matcha from time to time, but can’t wait to be back for a bagel because they look bomb.“

I got the Evil Steve on a jalapeños cheddar bagel for brunch and it was perhaps the best brunch bagel of my life ! The combination of slightly spicy pepper jam with tangy goat cheese smear and delicious smoked turkey wrapped in the jalapeño cheese bagel is extraordinary. Best part was the crunchy and crispy shallots to add that final profile in an already special bagel . Out of this world good .

They are also offering a gluten free bagel which is also rare to see .

If Layla were to ever expand to other states they would have a huge following.

“Pops Bagels is easily one of the best bagel spots in Beverly Hills. The bagels are always fresh, perfectly toasted, and have that ideal balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming, which makes it a great place to stop by for a quick breakfast or a relaxed coffee and bagel.“

“Lovely little spot that serves local coffee roasted down the street which is a big plus for me. This place is lowkey and priced just right. “Ever crave a NY style BEC bagel but you live in West LA? Look no further than New York Bagel and Deli! While there are many good bagel places in the city, this has the best bagel quality and value in my opinion. They do everything, from bagel with shmear and lox to BEC and even pizza, all for an affordable price. Highlight is the sandwich combo which is a fat bagel sandwich and a combo. It's my go to for a filling breakfast for a long day!“

“Placed a large order for pickup on Monday morning at 10am. The order was ready ahead of schedule and the store associates were so kind. Amaria was especially accommodating, i forgot to indicate that i would like the bagels cut so she took time to cut all of them while i waited! It was above and beyond and made my day. “I was really excited for this place to open so close near my job. Service is great and very welcoming unfortunately the Lox was disappointing. Of course everyone makes them different but the Capers is a big ingredient which they did not have. I will definitely come back to give another item on the menu a try but the Lox bagel is usually my only go to.“

“I live in the Hollywood area and have passed by Sam’s Bagels more times than I can count. There’s usually a line, which finally made me stop and ask myself, “Alright… what’s the fuss?”

Well. The fuss is 100% justified.

Funny enough, when I stopped by, there was barely any line at all — maybe the bagel gods were smiling down on me that day. These bagels are clearly made in heaven and gently delivered straight into Sam’s shop. I’m not even exaggerating. I wish I had a picture to share, but the bagel disappeared so fast it didn’t stand a chance. In fact, I turned around and came back within 10 minutes to get another one. Then somehow I walked out with another bagel and a half dozen. Don’t ask where they went — they simply vanished. Mysterious. Tragic. Delicious.

On top of that, the staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. Even without a line, they were friendly, quick, and made the whole experience even better.

Amazing bagels, very reasonable pricing, and absolutely worth the visit. If you’re looking for a top-tier breakfast spot in Hollywood, do yourself a favor and visit this heavenly place. Just don’t expect leftovers.“

“This place is severely understaffed. The employees are hard working, as I sat for my order they were friendly but I saw the urgency was a little overwhelming, people can’t help but feel bad. I am really concerned for their well being as they are often under staffed. There should be Atleast 4 people working at all times. As a business owner myself I’d never just have 2 or 3 employees in what seems to be such a high volume shop. Those are horrible working conditions. Your employees are outstanding, please treat them better.“
