Excellence all around! I love this place! It's convenient to meet friends. This visit I had breakfast and it was fantastic!!! Keep up the excellence!
Good service. We were seated right away upon arrival. Food arrived quickly upon ordering, and tasted great. And just the perfect proportions too! It was a nice experience, and I will be back soon!
Always an excellent experience. Consistent service and good food. The ambience is very chill and relaxing.
Had dinner with a dear friend so we could chat and catch up. The food was good, noise level, we could talk and hear each other comfortably. The service was good. Overall it was a good experience and I would return if I was in the area.
Love J Nichols and Love the server Paris! What a great place, great food and always the best experience :)
Always a winner. This place never lets me down. Book a table if you don't want to potentially have to wait.
Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere! Love the leather booths! Our server Aleaki was very friendly and helpful in ordering our food! In past occasions, Natalie and Star ware excellent servers as well. This is a “can't miss” resturant!
Food was good. Esoecially the trout. Holiday turkey is usually excellent, but this time around the turkey was dry, not moist. Service is usually spot on, but we had to remind staff about our Chardonnay order. Overall, we had a good experience but usually it is an excellent dining experience.
This is my go to for lunch. The servers are all veterans. Some are fantastic and some are a little grumpy. Yesterday, my turkey Rueban had very little turkey and no sauerkraut. They brought some sauerkraut, but the sandwiches here used to be much more abundant. Also, the prices have gone up. $25 for a turkey club.
The service was incredibly slow My salad came overdressed. I had to ask a bus boy to get the waitress that was a long wait my sound was remade with less dressing I know things are tough in the restaurant industry, but there were plenty of people working there that were chatting and not paying attention to guests
Restaurantji Recommends
JNichols Kitchen continues to be one of my favorite restaurants. Background music is a very important aspect to a pleasurable dining experience. I find that most restaurants either have the volume too high or they pick an inappropriate music genre. For the most part, JNichols Kitchen does a good job on managing their music so that the diners do not have to shout over the general restaurant noise.
Nichols never disappoints. The service is always top notch and the food is consistently good. Highly recommend!
Love this place - been many times - service/food always good with lots of variety. I orerered the burger which was good but micro note: way too much bun for amount of meat. Saw a patty melt go by and THAT looked amazing. Will be back again for sure and will get my melt on.
A very good choice for good quality neighborhood dining. The menu is very good with a nice variety of options. We found the food to be excellent. The waiter started out fine but, after the food was served he disappeared and we never saw him again until he came to ask about dessert. Unfortunately, and this is minor but, was definitely an issue, a couple of our meals (there were four of us) although not requiring a steak knife did require some sort of knife. The knives provided were so dull, one person couldn't even cut his broccoli florets. Rather odd. Over all a good choice.
J Nichols is always outstanding. Family owned, food is always fresh and prepared with care. The staff is so wonderful. We love going to Nichols!
