This place should be ashamed of what they offer! My honey duck, $28, was absolutely disgusting. Overcooked, over fryed in nasty oil and on top of this one leg looks like someone already took a bite out of it. Couldn't reject it just because it was carry out. Never had a desire to write bad review, but this duck really got me...

I've never eaten inside the restaurant but I get take-out. I enjoy the pad thai dish. The orange chicken is citrusy, and come with white rice. It has a unique sourness almost.

Super solid neighborhood spot for some affordable comfort food. Ate indoors and the staff were so quick, friendly, and accommodating. They have both a cute indoors and outdoor seating. Pineapple fried rice and tom yum soup were good, very comforting and solid dishes. Very affordable too which is hard to find now on the west side. Moderate size parking lot, and also has street meter parking right outside the parking lot. Will probably come back for some nice takeout food.

The food was reasonable in taste and portion size. Warning... rice is extra, even on curry orders.

Last time I eat here. Ordered shrimp pad thai which was bright orange and flavorless. The food gets worse and worse. Cute patio though.

I'm starting to wonder if everything in this two-tiered strip mall is excellent? I stopped into Tahntawan on the advice of a client I was working for in the nearby canals neighborhood. I was not disappointed. The seafood chowder made for an excellent lunch. Mussels, squid, fish and shrimp in an excellent coconut broth. If I'm being totally honest the squid was a little overdone but not enough to stop me from enjoying it. Cool atmosphere with good music rounded out the seaside vibe.Parking: The strip mall has a parking lot though not a large one. During rush hours it may be difficult to find a spot.

Great food and the service is always great. We've been coming here weekly for a few years now and think it's a hidden gem. The drunken noodles and pineapple curry are amazing.

Spent $40 and turned out they weren't open even though I was allowed to place the order. I have been calling and no one is answering so I don't even know if I can get a refund when I never even got the food.

Now this place is called Kara Thai. This Place has changed!!!! It use to have bigger portions especially for the crab fried rice! The Short Rib Panang use to come with more short rib &rice included too!!! Now everything is smaller portions and they don't include rice you must buy separately. Such a disappointment ? I use to love this place, I wish the original owners never left!
