A real gem on the Westside, where it's otherwise impossible to get a real lunch for under 20 bucks
A really solid quick and casual to go Mexican restaurant in Marina del Rey. The portion sizes are pretty small, but the flavors are honestly really good. It’s also attached to a small shopping center so there is plenty of free parking right out front, which is rare in LA. Pricing is fair and the staff was actually very polite and friendly. Stopped in last night for dinner and everything was ready within 10 minutes. It’s quite small on the inside, they have the ordering counter, salsa bar, and a few tables inside and out, but most people seem to get it to go, which is what we chose to do.
As you would guess they have a lot of classic items on the menu and for my first visit I decided to go with a Grilled Fish Burrito and really enjoyed it. Growing up in San Diego my favorite is a California burrito, but I can’t really find those flavors in LA so I try to mix it up since I’m an Angeleno now. I added avocado which I would suggest and really enjoyed the burrito. It was pretty small so I finished it quickly, but the flavors were nice. I also ordered a Carne Asada and Chorizo Taco for $3 each and enjoyed both but they are also street taco sized. You can easily knock the thing out in two bites. Aside from the portion sizes I really enjoyed my meal and I will definitely stop in again since I live very close by.
Had takeout twice from them. Great carne asada. Very friendly service. Good prices in comparison to others on the area
Love this location! Our go-to favorites are the chicken nachos nortenos and chicken taquitos
I live GA and anytime im in LA I go here! Delicious!

Best vegetarian taco I have ever had. Boyfriend said shrimp tacos were great too. Will be dreaming about the salsa verde from salsa bar after we go back home. Will 100% be back before we leave town.

Very friendly, casual place. Food is fresh and tasty. Great for takeaway. The friendly atmosphere makes it nice for a quick bite, also if you're alone. Bar with help yourself salsa (3 varieties). I ordered the Tostada with meat and black beans.

Food is basic nothing special, the wait is ridiculous, they can't get the order right, $5 for flan that is super tiny, parking is a challenge...I recommend " Taco's Opciones" which is just one mile back on the same street food there is twice better ?

I had a lovely time at Taqueria Chihuahuas! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional – the staff were friendly and attentive, which made for a wonderful experience. While the food was decent and I've had more memorable Mexican dishes, the overall experience was enjoyable, thanks to the great service. It's worth a visit!
