It has portobello mushrooms in it and I believe mozzarella with possibly parmesan and garlic seasoning but I'm not 100% sure. Whatever they did it was great. Highly recommend and would eat again.
I wanted to like this place more than I did. The food itself was okay, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The cheese zombie is a type of sandwich invented at Mt Diablo High School in 1963. The Zombie Shop proudly continues the East Bay tradition to this day. The sandwiches are fresh, hot, and inventive. The service was great, the cashier treated me like a friend. We got 3 different flavors of zombie, our favorite by far was the Jalapeno Popper flavor. We were stuffed, and only paid about $20. Highly recommended for a quiet bite in Martinez.
