A winery rich in history! Steve passionately told us some history of the area and how this tasting room came to be. We felt like family as Aaron kept our glasses full. The wine was delicious and we felt like family as learned about the wines. They host fun events and have live musicians on the weekends. We cannot wait to return!
William Welch Wines, located at the corner of Main Street and Las Juntas Street, recently opened a tasting room, named for local pioneer, William Welch, and his 1844 Rancho Las Juntas land grant. Steve is a knowledgeable and welcoming host. We came across his winery on Valentine's Day. He was closed for an event, but still invited us in and shared his delicious wines, including a 2016 Zifandel. I look forward to bringing family and friends to this spacey yet warm venue to sample wines for years to come.
