Other than the 70s music this evening, everything was wonderful!

We visited this restaurant during our trip to Mendocino and immediately loved the cozy, home-like atmosphere. We tried the Gnocchi with a half-and-half cream cheese and marinara sauce, the Farfalle della Nonna pasta, and finished with Tiramisu for dessert. Overall, the food was enjoyable—especially the Tiramisu, which was a standout! The cheese sauce on the gnocchi wasn’t quite to our taste, and the pasta had a bit more nutmeg than we prefer. Despite these small details, we had a pleasant dining experience and truly appreciated the warm, welcoming vibe.

I recently visited Luna Trattoria with friends and was extremely disappointed. When we arrived, we asked if we could have coffee and dessert, only to be told everything was reserved and we could only stay for 30 minutes. It was baffling, as there were two tables outside and three inside, and they sent us to an upstairs area that was completely empty, with at least six vacant tables.

It’s hard to believe we were given such a short time when the upstairs was entirely available. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I know that managing 5 or 6 tables is quite standard for 2 or 3 servers.

The staff’s attitude made it clear they didn’t want to accommodate us, which is unacceptable. We left immediately, and I urge anyone considering Luna Trattoria to think twice. The beautiful setting does not make up for the terrible service we experienced. Save your time and choose a place that values its customers.

Cute place, with absolute bomb food, we tried the calamari, pasta and deserts and everything was very good.
I loved the carbonara and the mushroom pasta.
The Garden area is very pretty at night to down in, we would be back to try the rest.

We made a reservation months in advance that they lost. They refunded our deposit but we had to call twice to get that done.

Mediocre, rustic and pricey. A road house Italian styled overpriced experience.

We had a fantastic anniversary dinner here! Ean was our server and he was very friendly, gave great recommendations, and was knowledgeable about the menu. The food was wonderful! I got the gnocchi and it was great, like soft pillows…melt in your mouth ?. 10/10 would recommend!!

Went for our anniversary and had a delightful time. Started with a little skunk on the pathway to restaurant but then the twinklie lit garden was a perfect setting under a heat lamp to keep us cozy. We had minestrone soup and polenta with champignon mushrooms followed by lasagna and Polllo Voldostana. All was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was super friendly, helpful and timely checking in on us the right amount. Loved our dinner at Luna....highly recommend.

The restaurant is very cute and the patio is lovely. Do yourself a favor and get a drink but don’t order any food. We took first bites and both said “wow this is disgusting”. Also very expensive. We had a reservation and had zero issues with the service.

Hands down excellent service and food! We met the owner himself who gave us recommendations to try. Though we didn't have room for dessert but we did. Recommend the Italian custard which is a light way to end a delicious meal!

It’s as good as people say it is! Here’s a tip: if they don’t have a table available you can order food to-go and it only takes like 20 mins (depending on the day). That’s what we ended up doing and I was more than okay bringing this deliciousness back home to eat. Portions are generous and carb loaded so you will feel full, but in the best way as it’s all sooo scrumptious. I had the California bow tie pasta with chicken — it was amazing! My partner had the ragu bolognese and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Also the potato croquettes were so good as well!
