Delicious pastries and coffee drinks
Nice spot and a great mocha. Expensive but you’re in Mendocino. Can get crowded and space is tight, but a good cup of coffee.
Stopped by for a decaf latte and a poblano farmers cheese scone for breakfast. Both were delicious and very welcome when most other places were closed for Labor Day.

The Waiting Room is a cozy spot that serves delicious breakfast options, including a tasty croissant and the best breakfast burrito ever, which is like a breakfast sandwich in a burrito. It offers an amazing atmosphere filled with good energy and good vibes, making it a well-loved community spot. The coffee menu shines with the best chai latte, espresso, and americano that guests have ever had. The bar is well-run by knowledgeable staff, who can recommend a variety of beers, including local options. Their pizza is fresh and features changing specials.
The atmosphere is chill with great music, whether enjoyed inside by the wood stove or outside on the sunny deck overlooking the garden. The interior is cozy with wood paneling, and the outside patio is nice too. Guests appreciate the delicious selection of pastries, highly recommending the cheese scone and the chocolate chip cookie. While the service is fast, there was a significant number of flies in the cafe in the past, which hurt the experience. However, the cappuccino remains sublime, and the rose cardamom latte is especially popular. The Waiting Room is more than just a coffee shop; it is a hybrid setup with a coffee bar, beer on tap, and wine, complete with a fireplace and record player setup. The place beams with good energy, making it a unique, eclectic destination that locals love.
