Stayed here for a couple days recently and ate our meals at Ravens’. First, the place is very nice, the staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. The customer service was excellent.
The menu obviously is intended to reflect an upscale, inventive, trendy vibe. The problem is the food just doesn’t deliver. The food’s not bad, it’s just not anything really special, often a bit dull or bland and often didn’t really match the menu description well.
We had the Portobello Benedict and the savory crepe both flavorful and made with fresh, well-prepared ingredients. The wood-paneled space, with its scent of wood, fireplaces, and garden views, feels classic but not dated, cozy but not cluttered. A quiet main room and a relaxed pet-friendly section round out the experience. We’ll definitely come back.
I loved the restaurant in terms of the menu, the ambience, and the food. We got the maple tamari tofu, the Ravens ravioli, the flatbread with pesto, and the banana split sundae for dessert. All the dishes were great and had good serving sizes. My non-vegan partner shared all the food with me and enjoyed it, including the pasta, so this place is great for vegans and non-vegans alike.
