Lovely restaurant - food was fresh, very nicely prepared and we loved sitting outside (the heaters kept us toasty warm).
Highly recommend!
We had an amazing dinner here! Very classy, great service and excellent food. Many gluten free options. Jen our server was great. Make sure you make a reservation.
Food was absolutely delicious!!!!
Always top tier food and service.
This place is amazing! This place is extremely clean (which is impatient to me), it has indoor and outdoor seating. The outside canopy garden section you can sit at has heaters outside which use nice on cooler days. Their menu has several Vegetarian/gluten free options, and a variety of choices on the menu to make sure everyone gets what they crave. I ordered a toasted hazelnut blue cheese salad with dates and apples and it came with a very subtle vinaigrette dressing, it was extremely delicious, light and refreshing. I also ordered their vegetable gnocchi, it was such a beautiful balance of citrus, and buttery gnocchi. The pumpkin seeds on top were a nice little crunch and micro greens balanced out the citrusy flavor. For dessert I had the “Dubai bar.” It was very rich but delicious, perfect to share. My kids LOVED the broccolini and the pea risotto was buttery and delicious. Highly recommend this place. Atmosphere and food were top tier.
Pros: tasty food, great location in town, lovely outdoor space
Cons: a bunch of ticky tack fees, eg split plate fee, fee to pay with a credit card, etc. my recommendation is to just bake in an extra couple dollars to the price of menu items instead of charging these fees. Also there was a dead bug in our salad.
Good dishes... And when it is great it is Great...
But dishes are just messy in presentation at times. Easy to see what they are going for, but it just looks thrown together often...
Literally thrown into the plate... And there is a lack of consistency in the dishes... Sometimes it really is great and sometimes it really is not.
A 'pretty mess' is not worth the price...
Aim higher please...
Unbelievably good food for a town of this size. One of the best dining experiences I've had anywhere. Eating outside in the tent is great--very pretty and plenty warm even when it's cool outside thanks to copious heaters. Very friendly wait staff. The food is fresh, tasty, and creative. Highly recommend the vegetable galette and and vegetable gnocchi for vegetarians--my meat-eating dining partners agreed both were delicious. Must visit restaurant if you are here!
We had an amazing lunch with friends. The food was fantastic. The owners and all of the staff were so friendly. All of the food was fresh and delicious. The desserts made by their pastry chef were fabulous. The outdoor seating is beautiful.
Spectacular food and a romantic Inn!

Loved the dinner experience here. Food was excellent and tasty, service was amazing and overall it was perfect for a date night dinner. Talked to other guests also who couldn’t stop talking about how much they love this place. Must go in Mendocino area.
We had lunch in the Cafe here. It has a home style atmosphere, very cozy. Great services and very tasty food.
I’ve been here four times now. The food is pretty good, the atmosphere is enjoyable but all of that is canceled out by their atrocious seating system and extremely tiny waiting area.
Each time I’ve come here, I’ve waited an additional hour past our reservation time. Each time, my family and I have waited in the vestibule that can accommodate no more than 1 human at a time, as waitresses, diners and departing staff push in and out of this extremely busy common area. As a result, we’ve had to wait outside in the pouring rain while waiting to be called for our table (see picture).
Honor the seating time of your guests, or remove the reservation system.
The Seafood Bouillabaisse wasn't very good. Lackluster seasoning, prawns were vastly overcooked. The Wild Caught Nightly Fish was rock cod and it was delightful. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Very popular place and reservations are definitely a good idea. The bathroom was clean and well appointed and the server was clearly experienced, and just really great. Didn't stay in the inn.
Pretentious little place. Food looked decent, but was poorly executed. Pretty bland. Service was also not the best.
