The fish tacos are excellent. Nice flavor and grill to them. Highly recommended!
Came to Mendocino to check out the beautiful coastal town and see some of the places that were in Murder She Wrote.
Went for lunch and the food is very subpar. Small portions and lack of flavor.
Edit: ordered the lamb “meatballs” they were two very small meatballs cut in half on top of a small smear of extremely bland hummus. The menu and server described it as a mezza platter but besides the side salad that came with the entree it had a few pieces of pita, a very weird sauce claiming to be harissa and then a generous portion of weird tasting tatziki. Again the portion was very small and the food lacked flavor. Also the way the owner or whomever replies to the reviews is embarrassing. Glad I’m never wasting money here again.
My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Trillium on Aug 11 and it was one of the highlights of our experience in Mendocino. The hostess that night had an amazing bouquet of flowers waiting for my wife at our table. She was incredibly thoughtful and my wife can’t stop raving about them. Next, the service was welcoming, exceptional and timely. Finally, the food was prepared perfectly. And the star of the night was the coffee! Wow. Thank you to the staff for creating a wonderful atmosphere and experience for a special milestone in our lives!
Service & atmosphere were good but at this price point you expect better execution from the kitchen. Most of the food disappointed in flavor & was inexcusably underseasoned.
Are at restaurant, small wait and they poured us wine as we waited. The ambiance is fantastic. Outdoor seating is dreamy! Great food!
Great food and service! Nice outdoor patio seating.
Best (local) Petrale
Sole I have ever had.
Excellent food, was very busy, not a long wait for food sevice.
A Magnificent Indoor Garden that is the Trillium Cafe with nice views of town and then the Bay. The Seafood & Jardiniere cuisine is delectable with Mimosas. The presentation is Classic Gorgeous French and simply wonderful. The Maitre d’ was very hospitable. Very Luxurious Experience
This review is for the restaurant. A really nice cozy spot outside. Lots of great food options. Everything was fantastic.
Do NOT order the oysters from the cafe. They were served over what looked to be fake ice or large grains of salt and were luke warm.

Great location, we were here for food and it was simply wonderful!
Excellent food & desserts!!
Dinner. Food was delicious.
Beautiful garden
Food does not match the price. We spent $350 and the food did not match, steak was poor quality, oysters were warm had to ask for ice for the wine. Just an overall mediocre experience and we’d rather support other places that have higher standards. Sorry our money is hard earned and what should have been special was not. .
