gnar bar is such a gem in downtown mendocino! we were welcomed by the friendliest staff who even gave my dog a treat upon walking in.i did not expect to taste such delicious asian food! they have shelves filled with imported asian snacks, beverages and side dishes if you need a quick bite to-go. highly recommend trying their sticky chicken wings and udon garlic noodles. everything was cooked fresh right before our eyes.Vegetarian options: saw several people order the vegan ramen....read full review
This was a very tasty place. We had the miso Ramen with tofu and a spicy tuna roll. Both were perfect. We gobbled them up while sitting at the bar and looking out at the park. Service was friendly.
Holy Cow. This place is great. It looks like a fast food joint and so I lowered my expectations when I walked in but boy were my assumptions wrong. The food is incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The servings are generous. We had the salmon poke and the chicken karaage - which was amazing. But there's so much more! Dumplings, ramen, sushi, etc....My only regret is that I couldn't order and eat more of their dishes. But it's okay. I'm going back tomorrow.
