“gnar bar is such a gem in downtown mendocino! we were welcomed by the friendliest staff who even gave my dog a treat upon walking in.i did not expect to taste such delicious asian food! they have shelves filled with imported asian snacks, beverages and side dishes if you need a quick bite to-go. highly recommend trying their sticky chicken wings and udon garlic noodles. everything was cooked fresh right before our eyes.Vegetarian options: saw several people order the vegan ramen. the tofu garlic udon noodles were delicious and totally vegetarianDietary restrictions: dishes are made to order, so you can ask the chef to make accommodations. i also saw several vegan and vegetarian options on the menu.“

“Cool small business. I am pretty sure that the woman who took our orders also cooked it. Food was great except for a bowl Tom Kha I ordered. The only other employee there was a young guy who was apparently helping to take orders and clean dishes. We mentioned we hadn't received the soup we ordered and I suspect that he prepared it while the regular cook had stepped out as it seemed to be just the coconut soup stock without the normal flavor ingredients like lemongrass, ginger, and spices. That was my only reason to deduct a star.“
