Drunken Monk is a Japanese restaurant with a cozy atmosphere that specializes in small plates. It offers a wide variety of dishes such as yakitori, sukiyaki, and sushi. The yakitori skewers are well-seasoned and delicious, with a selection ranging from chicken to wagyu beef and beef tongue. The staff is friendly and the service is fast, although you may have to wait a bit for your skewers. Recommended skewers are Kabuto pork, chicken oyster, sashito peppers, wagyu skewers with truffle oil and salt, and okra. The house make miso pancetta with yuzu ice was amazing! The sesame cheesecake was a close second - dense but the flavor was a great balance of traditional cheesecake and sesame. While the prices can be a bit high, the quality of the food justifies it. The restaurant is popular, so it is recommended to make a reservation in advance. Overall, Drunken Monk is a great place to enjoy sake and flavorful Japanese dishes.
