I recently ordered fish and pork. The taste was really unpleasant. Do not recommend here if you are looking for good Chinese food

This is a very economic and good place in Menlo Park! Huge portions and tasty authentic Chinese food. The service and ambient is great. Again, you would be surprised by how large the dishes are

Great food! Went there with a Chinese friends that had been here before and we ordered a lot, huge portions and great taste! We lived in China and loved the food there. Fey is pretty authentic and did not dissappoint! We will be back!

The food was unbelievably awful for a restaurant that's been in business for a while. I have never heard great things until recently when a friend recommended I give them a shot.
The pork fried rice was mushy and bland and the vegetables were tiny and there weren't many.
The sesame chicken was also mushy and tasted old and like the sauce was over re heated.
The green beans and pork with black bean sauce was, by far, the worst out of the three. The sauce was definitely old, extremely over reduced, inedibly salty (I don't know that I've ever tasted a more over salted dish in my 55 years alive) and had a foul flavor to it.
I was astonished at the absolute terrible flavor of my entire meal. It actually looked okay, except for the green beans and pork, which looks like it had been on the bottom of a pot for hours.
Unfortunately, I accidentally left good reviews on my Uber Eats order because I didn't have my glasses on and thought I was rating my delivery person.
I will never eat at Fay again and I don't recommend you do either.

Extremely rude service. The waiter rushed us, forced us to pay, and got upset when the tip wasn’t good enough for him. Grumpy service

We tried a variety of dishes and overall had a decent experience. The dishes leaned sweeter than I typically like.

- Sweet and sour spareribs: very good, sauce could be more sour
- Beijing pork belly: good
- Shrimp wonton soup: tasty broth, but the wonton was meh
- Mapo tofu: good, I don’t mind eating it again
- Pea sprouts: decent
- Hot and sour soup: ok, nothing spectacular
- Tomato egg drop soup: meh, very oily and sweet

My family and I have come to this restaurant so many times. It’s been probably 5-10 years! The owner and staff used to be very nice and accommodating. The food itself is great! This last time I went there and this will be the last time I step foot in that restaurant was the most horrible experience. The owner herself was absolutely rude. Me, my mom and my grandma (mind you it was only us 3) ordered few items food, one dish was very very spicy and we were not a fond of. We asked them if we can choose another dish (we only had one bite). We originally had the Mongolian beef and wanted to switch it out for general tao chicken. They gave a bit push back but allowed it. When we got the check, it seemed they did not correct the item and put Mongolian beef on the receipt. I asked them to please change the receipt to reflect the correct dish. The owner was furious. She said some awful things and she went back to her desk to print the correct one out. They brought out the second check and immediately didn’t let us see the 1st check and put the second check down and said “sign here!!” We were not going to sign anything before looking at the check. When we looked at the second check the total cost increased !!! HOW?!? Well, They added a service charge of 18% which was not originally on the 1st check. They were trying to have us sign that! Scammers!! We were furious that they thought this was acceptable. The owner rudely, stated that there is a charged fee for changing the dish. I had told her, I would’ve understood that charge if it was a party of 5 or more. Not just the 3 of us. They did not tell us any of this information about additional charges. She then stated “no you HAVE to give a tip”. When I tell you, my family and I were FURIOUS!! WOW!! We said “excuse me?!” She went on being rude until we told her we were not leaving without the correct check. She went back to her desk and made us wait and sit for almost 10 minutes!! My grandma said “hello, we need to get going” which then she printed it out and threw it on the table. We will never be back there again!! Absolute horrible experience and the owner didn’t have a care in the world.

Cheap and good. The Dan Dan Mian is 11/10 and the spicy oil dumplings (hong you Chao Shou) is so yummy

The decoration is good, but the food is mixed and about average, definitely not very good. The scallion pancake was good, veggie was over cooked. The fish is not very fresh, and the Chowfen was a little above average. I will not come back.
