Brunch at Menlo Tavern was fabulous. The patio dining on a Sunday afternoon was a perfect setting for a delicious California fresh meal. The highlight of the day was the live music by Daniel Turnbaugh - Spirit + Sound
We've eaten here a few times every year for a while and been happy until the last 2 dinners the service has always been fine, but now the food seems to be slipping. 2 of us had the brisket special and it arrived with large pockets and a layer of white fat. The cornbread was hard as a rock and the potato salad was nearly tasteless. My wife's scallops were good. Our last visit had similar inconsistencies and featured over cooked salmon. It's a lovely place that deserves...
Ordered the pork belly risotto and the risotto was a bit undercooked. The chef was nice enough to take my friend and my request to have each of ours cooked longer. The pork belly was seasoned and prepared very well. The live music was a little bit louder than preferred, but not too bad. There was a bee lingering at our area so we requested for a couple reflective spinner deterrents. Love the ambience.
