La Stanza Cucina Italiana

La Stanza is a real gem. It's a relaxed, comfortable place that serves Italian comfort food. No pretense. Just a wonderful place to have a meal. I had a Caprese salad and the Branzino. Both excellent.

We love the food and service is great. However, it was very loud in the larger of the two indoor spaces and we had to raise our voices to to hear each other speak. Hopefully the owners can figure out a way to dampen the sound in that room. Our last time there we were in the smaller room and it was quiet and had an intimate feeling.

Great food. Very busy on Saturday evening but service still as good as could be expected when very busy. Enjoyed everything and will return.

As always, this restaurant does not disappoint I have been coming here for years and will continue to as long as they remain open We especially like their pear and asiago pockets! Yum🥰

This is one of our favorite places to go to for an evening! Our sever, Danny, is amazing and makes great recommendations for food and wines. The staff is consistently good and attentive. The best part (the menu and specials) are always fresh, well prepared, and delicious!!

Always the best place intown to get authentic Italian food. Try the branzino, the lamb pasta and the eggplant!

Overall, a fine experience. Excellent food and service. Smart move by Danny to inform us of menu and wine list changes in advance. That simple touch means a great deal. Pastas are excellent. Lean towards the daily specials!

You can't go wrong at this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The friendly atmosphere with excellent food choices is like “comming home” if your Mom is from Sicily and the best cook on the Island. we have to return at least once a month and more often, the better!

Hands down, one of my top 2 Italian restaurants ever....their Gnocchi tastes like melt-in-mouth pillows from heaven....and their desserts are exceptional too.....was well worth the drive and we will definitely be back ..for more Gnocchi!

Highly recommend for its true Italian food! I lived in Italy for 18 years, so I'm admittedly picky when it comes to Italian food—and I couldn't be happier to have discovered La Stanza, which impresses with both its authenticity and range. The regular menu offers a broad selection of regional Italian classics, from handmade Carbonara to Pasta alle Vongole, each crafted with that rustic, hearty simplicity and flavor balance Italians are known for and the extra oomph Sicilian-style cooking favors. The specials menu was nearly as extensive as the regular one, and I couldn't resist the Branzino al Limone: sea bass finished in a light, zesty lemon sauce with just a hint of capers. I rarely order Branzino in the U.S. because it so often disappoints—but based on previous visits, I trusted the kitchen. Result: hands down one of the best Branzino al Limone I've had—anywhere, including Italy. At the risk of making it even harder to get a table... go!

My favorite pasta place in the Bay Area! Fiocchetti Aurora is phenomenal and I always love their specials (the lasagna is amazing). The service is also great!
