The service was not great, seems they were understaffed. We had to get our own drinks from the bar as we had been seated for awhile and had not seen our server. I ordered the Double-cut Pork chop (a Specialty), arrived inetibaly undercooked..... After returning to the kitchen for a complete cook, it was absolutely delicious, the baked apple in the spice grape sauce was perfect for the chop....The server tried to "do the right thing" and said "our drinks were on the house" ....as I mentioned earlier, we had to get our own drinks, there were NO drinks "to be on the house" ....(a swing and a miss).

I lived in Atherton for many years and was one of my husband and my favorite restaurants. Well we were very disappointed in our meal. The waiter and server , Luis and Daniel were both wonderful. The bread that was always delicious was dense and lacked flavor. The tasty carpaccio also was way different. No more a generous freshly grated wheel of parmesan Sorry I won’t be returning no longer one of my favorites ..

Ristorantea Carpaccio is a gem! The food, from Clams Oreganata to Ribeye, is consistently delicious. The inviting atmosphere, both inside and outside, adds to the charm. Whether it's the calamari, Margarita Pizza, or the Chicken Piccata, each dish is a hit. It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back for more, reflecting on the great times shared over fantastic food and genuine hospitality. Ristorante Carpaccio is great for special occasions. The cozy warm vibe, compliments the tasty desserts, like the homemade Tiramisu & The Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream, these add a sweet touch to any celebration. delightful spot for marking those special moments. Highly recommended!

great traditional atmosphere, these kinds of places are sadly disappearing. The crab cakes were AMAZING and so was the homemade tartar sauce. First time I've ever ordered lagasna in a restaurant and it was wonderful. The service was attentive and overall outstanding!

Decent place, maybe showing a bit of age but still good. Portions are large and done well but to my palate perhaps lacks a bit of excitement. the waiter was nice and it is a busy place so that should tell you something, lots of regulars which is always a good sign. Wine list is a bit short for my taste but it has what you expect.Reminds me of an East Coast restaurant.Their specials are nice and I thoroughly enjoyed the dish I picked from the specials menu. My date picked something off the regular menu and it was nice but perhaps a bit too much butter used in the cooking, it was very rich. The appetizer which was grilled mushroom with garlic was excellent. Must have been cooked in a wood fired oven because it had that delicious flavor from wood infused with the mushroom. I really enjoyed this dish.

Stopped by for lunch a few days ago and won't be coming back. The service was very very slow and I was the only one in there for about 20 min. The food was greasy and took very long to make. The waiter wasn't rude, but not friendly as well. Go to Roma around the corner instead! The staff are very friendly and prompt and the food is delicious and a quick turnaround.

Quite cozy. More suitable for regular customers. Here you are greeted by your clothes. Having visited many cities in Italy, I note that the food tastes similar to Italian (we ordered pork medallions and chicken breast with mushroom sauce), but the dishes here still contain traditional American-Taiwanese sweet notes. Italian meat sauces are a little different. carpaccio is really tasty. The restroom is beautifully decorated in a la France style. I recommend.

When it comes to this Italian restaurant, the experience was a mixed bag. Let's start with the highlights – the drinks were absolutely delightful! ?? Their selection of beverages complemented the meal perfectly, and the drinks menu alone would be reason enough to return. The salmon and fettuccine plate deserves special mention. It was a culinary delight! The perfect blend of flavors and the well-cooked salmon made it a standout dish. The fettuccine was cooked to perfection, and the overall presentation was pleasing to the eye. ??However, the lasagna was a letdown. Sadly, it fell short of expectations. The flavors seemed lackluster, and the texture was not as enjoyable as one would hope for in a classic Italian dish. It's definitely an area that could use some improvement. ??On a sweeter note, the chocolate mousse was a real winner! Rich, creamy, and with just the right amount of sweetness – it was a perfect ending to the meal. ??Now, onto the service – here, they have some work to do. While the staff was courteous, the overall service wasn't spectacular. There were some delays in taking orders and getting drinks refilled, which affected the overall dining experience. Improving the service would definitely enhance the restaurant's appeal. ?️?In conclusion, this Italian restaurant offers a mixed experience. The good drinks and standout dishes like the salmon and fettuccine plate make it worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a pleasant evening. However, the lasagna's underwhelming performance and the room for improvement in the service department might leave you with mixed feelings. Nevertheless, the delicious chocolate mousse is a must-try! ????

The one and only. A classic old-school, old town wonderful Italian restaurant. I have had easily 100+ meals here over the last 20 years and it is and remains my old-school favorite. It is the go-to for family dinners, girlfriends night out or anytime you are hungry for some "home-cooking: And, the staff --- they are always an A+++ Highly recommend.
