I gave it a 3 stars because it is a nice clean place, friendly staff. But the food is more a 2 star totally bland no taste. I tried salt, pepper and even salsa to flavor the food, it just was that blah. My client agreed, didn't finish her plate, refused a to go box because of her food not having flavor either. If you guys owning the restaurant are reading this, PLEASE LEARN HOW TO HIRE A COOK! Buy spices and herbs for goodness sakes! Ot you are going to be going out of business...
Lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Not busy, see we received excellent attention (not to say that the same attention would have been absent during busy hours). Food was excellent and the service was fantastic.
We arrived in Merced after dark with few hopes of a decent meal after a long day on the road. Our hotel suggested La Hacienda 2. We arrived at 8:25 p.m., and last orders had to be in at 8:30. But we didn't know all that... because the welcome was as warm as if we had arrived at the restaurant's opening. I had the chile relleno, my wife, the chicken tacos. The food was tasty, the quantity was high as was the quality. Was it the best Mexican food we've every had?...
