Thai Cuisine Reviews
Came in with my 3 young children. Was sat right next to the bar that was extremely loud. We placed our order and it was read back to us. We could barely hear due to the lively bar. They brought my husband the wrong dish. When made aware the server snobbish responded that she read us back our order and went into the back. Went for dinner today and went to pay and the credit card machine wasn't working and the worker was rude and told us cash only but was never told to us before hand and no sign was posted prior to ordering. When we told the worker we didn't have cash they said that there is an ATM machine across the street. Thai Cuisine in Merced is a popular restaurant that offers a variety of Thai dishes. The broth of the pho is flavorful and the portion size is good. The pad Thai and duck pho are recommended dishes. The orange chicken is also a top choice, as it comes with a lot of flavor and is not dry. The papaya salad, eggplant sauté, and sticky rice are delicious options. The Thai hot wings are topped with a Thai sweet chili sauce and fried Thai basil, and are a must-try. The service is great and the restaurant is clean. The papaya salad and Thai iced tea are refreshing. The restaurant has a quaint and intimate atmosphere.
Customers describe the Panang Curry as out of this world and appreciate the option to substitute duck in their dishes. The family that runs the restaurant is friendly and kind, and the taste of the food is pretty good, with the mixed flavor of chicken, shrimp, and seafood being most recommended. Favorites include Pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, chicken satay, and fresh spring rolls, which provide enough food for 3-4 people. The fried chicken wings are a bit too much, but the taste is very good. This hole-in-the-wall gem is a favorite stop for many, with fresh and delicious food and attentive service.
