Bob’s Donuts Reviews
Bob's Donut & Pastry Shop used to be the best donut shop in San Francisco (in my opinion). That has since changed, which is disappointing and unfortunate. First The service absolutely is less than courteous or friendly. Especially the lady who works the counter during the graveyard shift or early morning. I'm not sure exactly, I usually stop in around 6-6:30am and she is always there working the counter at that time. She never smiles, she never says "hello" or "how may I help...read full review

Bob's Donuts is a delightful spot to indulge in a sweet treat. The donuts are made fresh and always delicious, with a variety of flavors to choose from, including the glazed crumb donut, a house specialty. The chocolate donut is impressive—great texture, rich flavor, and clearly made with care. The pumpkin donut has nice color and great flavor, using real pumpkin puree, while the apple fritter has a good balance of apples to batter and isn’t overly glazed. The Malasadas—custard, guava, and blueberry—stand out with a goodly amount of real, flavorful fillings.
The atmosphere is welcoming, with clean, bright tables and fun artwork. The service is kind and patient, with tremendously nice folks working there, making it a wonderful place to visit. Whether stopping by in the morning or later in the day, there’s often a great selection of fresh donuts, including old-fashioned, buttermilk bar, and cinnamon-sugar cake options. Bob’s Donuts is more than just another donut shop—it’s a local gem.
