Food was excellent. Our server, though new, was great. I recommend for any type of dining.

Excellent meal, we had the Parker House rolls, the best we've had., the Bread crumbs in place of croutons allowed for a crouton in every bite, delicious. We had the Sole and the Smoked Brisket, both we will do again.... Once we have had a chance to get to the rest of the menu. The desserts were, hate to sound boring, but near perfection, the S'mores toasted marshmallow as well as the Key lime pie meringue were done very well, chewy, crispy coated...
We'll be back, several times for sure
Ordered a steak medium but it came closer to rare. I ate it anyways because I didn’t mind but it still annoyed me a little. What really upsets me was the bartender who treated me like I was literal air. He chatted and smiled with everyone but pretended like I didn’t exist, poker face the whole time, not a single word spoken, no “hi”, no “how’s the food?”, no “anything else you need?”, only came around to give me the bill at the end. Not too sure why I even tipped for non existent service lol?

Growing up in Mill Valley, now being a Restaurant Manager, I can honestly say that the Buckeye Roadhouse can use some improvements. The last time I was there, in 2025 I sat at the bar, ordered drinks, ate dinner, everything was delicious. When I decided it was time to use the bathroom, I got up and went to the restrooms. I came back, the woman next to me explained how the Bartenders thought I skipped out on my bill. “They were searching for you, thinking you weren’t going to pay!” 🤔hmmmm. Did I do something to give them that idea? Do I look like a criminal? I didn’t make much of it and went about my dining experience, knowing that I was judged for maybe wearing a sweatshirt and beanie.
Yesterday, I came across a similar situation. After I ordered my drink and some appetizers I noticed the Bartender Brian, decided to print out a bill for me. The only person in the bar to have one sitting in front of them. I said very politely, “Hey Brian, I’m still going to order food.” He looks at me, “Oh, good for you!” In a very condescending and rude manner. I truly don’t understand how Brian can be so disrespectful to the people who are tipping him. I decided to order a dessert and make my way out knowing that the disrespect is stemming from me not looking a certain way. He’s discriminating for what reason? I tipped him over 30% after he forgot that I ordered dessert and did not put in the POS.
I had to leave, next day learning my own lesson from a restaurant I’ve been to going to since I was young. Do not go to Buckeye Roadhouse thinking you’re treated as equal. Last time I checked, Brian is in the hospitality business. Maybe a lesson for Brian, keep treating patrons horribly, still get a big tip? 🤔

I called just three minutes before walking in to check availability. When I arrived, the host who seats guests saw that I was with my Hispanic family and immediately told us the wait would be an hour and a half. The interaction felt dismissive, and given the timing and circumstances, it left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Unfortunately, it came across as discriminatory, which was disappointing.

We had a large group and ordered multiple menu items. All of them were phenomenal. The porkchop was perfection. The brisket was perfect. The yams and spinach sides...delicious. Chocolate mousse and s'more pie ...to die for. The service was sone of the best. Kind, prompt, etc. We will definitely be back.

The behavior we experienced at this restaurant was unacceptable. The host at the door , a blond male at the entrance, repeatedly tried to make us leave by giving inconsistent and escalating wait times—first an hour and a half, then two hours—after we said we were willing to wait.
He ignored us initially and spoke in a dismissive manner. His attitude and actions felt racially biased and made us feel unwelcome. His behavior was racist, and this kind of conduct should not be tolerated.

I got the pork chop medium, and it was by far the best I've had. In my party, others got the ribeye, salmon and chicken. We kind of shared everything and the consensus was that the pork chop was the best by far

Absolutely amazing food at a very reasonable price for higher-end dining. Our server, Jordan, was incredible. Warm, hospitable, and truly elevated our experience. He was extremely attentive and quick with service. There were plenty of menu options to suit different tastes. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as the restaurant was fully packed even on a Monday evening.

Very good food, and a cozy place to be at if you want to unwind, even without reservations, they can accommodate for a less than 10min wait, the food came out fast

My dad would have loved this place, full of locals of all ages, dark woods and cozy booths, always buzzing, great service. The onion rings are so good. Almost Mustards level good. I had the pork ribs which were tougher than I was expecting. Boyfriend had the brick chicken which is apparently so good he hasn't ordered anything different at Buckeyes in years. The ahi tuna starter was yummy, but very full of wonton so not exactly a light option, if you're looking for something healthier.

Been eating here for decades! Food is always great. Love going here when the weather is fogged in or raining the most.
