Very good food and service continues at D'Angelo. And, it's a great value for the $ as they have kept prices of food and beverages “reasonable “
Enjoyed the meal- 3 well prepared and seasoned courses. Asked for my meal to be boxed after finishing half of my chicken piccata. Was taken to the back and then never seen again. Disappointing way to close out the night.
I thought the food was really disappointing. The pizza was bready and the salad was over dressed but untossed and oddly laid out on the plate.
It was Friday night and the place was basically packed. We weren't crazy about our seats right next to the kitchen but next time I will know to make a request to be further from the kitchen. 3/4 of the way through our meal a group of 1513-year-olds were they're celebrating her birthday which was really sweet for them but pretty loud for us. On the other hand, the food was quite good
Always a pleasure to dine at D'Angelo‘s. The service, the food, the ambience is always consistently good. Unfortunately, on the night we dined there was a table with people who had very loud, shrill voices – not the fault of the restaurant!
I've gone here every now and gone for years but this was the first time it was disappointing. The focaccia (too fluffy not crisp enough), the arugula and pear salad (too acidic), and butternut squash ravioli (too thick and undercooked) were all meh. The calamari and pizza were fine. But at these prices I expect much better. The restaurant was almost empty which I was surprised by, but maybe it's gone downhill and people know?
The raider didn't know much about the menu. There is also a language barrier, and I was surprised to know that he did not know what eggplant was. The eggplant was obviously pre-frozen, because when it arrived at the table, it was warm around the outside, but still cold in the center. I watched it go back to the kitchen after seeing several people put their fingers in it to see to check the temperature. They did remake another one, but it was still not cooked all the way through, and the red sauce was watery! We also ordered the pork chopped which we requested, medium, rare, and it was tough and definitely more well cooked than medium rare. It had been several years between visits to this restaurant, now we're remembering why the length of time in between visits was so long.
Delivery is terrible. I ordered a margarita and was bland, no taste and a disappointment.
Piazza D'Angelo was in every category excellent.. The service at every stage was professional and enthusiastic, and the food and drinks were impeccable. This is an establishment that understands its goal...a great experience for its guests. I look forward to visiting again.

Very slow service, poorly preoarwd food. My Caesar salad was comoosed if wilted lettuce drowned in a bad-tasting dressing. "hot" dishes arrived room temperature and tasteless. It was awful!

The Gnocchi was some of the best anywhere! We remembered it from last time— and it was again amazing!
Love this place! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating; I was recently here with a family member who is in a wheelchair and the staff made sure we were able to get to our table without obstructions. Little things like that really mean a lot. Make sure you save room for desert when you come here-- it's so good!

Has been a go to in MV for many years, but maybe not what it once was. Our pizza was warm but not hot, and uninspired without much flavor, dough we too bread-y. Waited a very long time (more than 25 minutes) for our next course of pastas, which was also without much flavor, thought the dish was hot and pasta house made. They comped us the pasta. This might be the end of a long relationship. Many other great places for quality Italian in Marin and close by or in MV. Still, its in the middle of town, close to the Throck and not too costly, so your call.
