Came with a real estate client of mine, the pizza is delicious, the wine is great, the service friendly.
D'Angelo is an old favorite as we started eating there almost 40 years ago. Brothers Dominic and Paulo began then with traditional Italian dishes that were simply delicious. The younger generations have recently modernized the menu to more contemporary offerings incorporating local Northern California ingredients. The wine list is shorter now than it was and includes many quality Italian wines. D'Angelo is alive and vibrant, a local gathering place for Mill Valley residents. It is worth a visit if you find yourself in Marin.
Better than I expected! So good!
Delicious. Excellent gluten free options! Who knew smoked salmon on a pizza would be so good. Yum.
Been going here for their house made pasta on just about every special occasion since I was a kid, for nearly 20 years! Always delightful, and love when they have creative summer salads and unique cocktails.
We stumbled in here horribly underdressed after a Mt Tam hike, but no one seemed to mind, and what an amazing find it was! We're from Portland where we have a lot of great seafood, but the halibut here was probably the most perfectly cooked and well seasoned I've had. The portion was large and the accompaniments were also perfection. Local farmers market kale and couscous both cooked with some kind of magic, in a to-die-for sauce that made you want to lick the bowl. My daughter had chicken piccata and my husband had salmon Benedict, both equally incredible.
Already trying to figure out when we could go back there. Is dinner too soon?
I have eaten here probably over 40 times. Over the years one thing that stands out is being treated well when I come alone which is more often than not. I usually have Caesar salad which is delicious and the gambini dish prawns sautéed spinach. Have had the salmon which is great. The choices for a glass of wine to me are limited and nothing that I love. Outside seating I enjoy more than indoors especially in the back of the restaurant, it can get loud inside. Sometimes service not the best too busy not enough servers but they are all lovely and warm and try their best. I like that I am comfortable at this restaurant mostly but good food and great location.

Dinner for 6 adults and 3 children was wonderful. Service was fantastic, food was fantastic. What wasn’t fantastic was the mandatory 20% tip plus another 4% living wage penalty as if the 20% isn’t enough.
Then add the tax of 10% made the entire meal value + 34% in taxes and tips.
this is out of control.
or. just don’t take your family here unless you are prepared to tack on 34% to your meal.

Piazza D’Angelo in Mill Valley offers a delightful dining experience with great food and warm service. The Margherita pizza was perfectly balanced, the focaccia bread with pesto dip was fresh and flavorful, and the broccolini pizza was a unique treat. A cozy spot for authentic Italian fare. Highly recommend!

The ambiance and interior design at Piazza D'Angelo are nice, and everything looks organized and appealing at first glance. However, the quality doesn't carry over to the food and service. Portions are extremely small for the price—my prosciutto pizza came with barely any prosciutto, and the $14 salad was more like a small cup-sized portion than a proper salad. Even the soft drinks were watered down, almost flat, as if they'd been sitting out too long.
Then there's the restroom situation: no soap, and it didn't look like it had been cleaned recently. I can't imagine how much they're really saving by skimping on such basic things, but it left me with a disappointing impression overall. I’d recommend they focus a bit more on quality and less on cutting corners.

The food was delicious and it has a very relaxing atmosphere. However my friend and I looked at their "zero proof" cocktails not realizing they had the same names as their alcohol counterpart. We were not asked if we would like the "zero proof" or the alcohol version. We received the alcohol version thinking they tasted like alcohol but have never had non-alcoholic "liquor" before so we just thought it tasted a lot like the real version. When we received the bill and realized that we got the alcohol version (as it was more expensive than the "zero proof" version). Neither of us drink and the drinks were really strong and we left the restaurant feeling bad. We really would recommend having different names for your non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.

The menu has so many wants it was so hard to decide. I opted for the specials menu and had the Ossobuco. Outstanding flavor on a bed of yummy risotto. Meat was a bit fatty but flavor forward! Atmosphere was homey with the fireplace, but it was a tad loud. Wait staff was friendly on a busy Saturday Night. A worthy dining experience for a birthday celebration.

I was invited by a colleague for lunch at Piazza D’Angelo and we had delicious food and service in the lively atmosphere. We both enjoyed our meals and I’d reccomended it to others as well.
