D'Angelo is an old favorite as we started eating there almost 40 years ago. Brothers Dominic and Paulo began then with traditional Italian dishes that were simply delicious. The younger generations have recently modernized the menu to more contemporary offerings incorporating local Northern California ingredients. The wine list is shorter now than it was and includes many quality Italian wines. D'Angelo is alive and vibrant, a local gathering place for Mill Valley residents....
Been going here for their house made pasta on just about every special occasion since I was a kid, for nearly 20 years! Always delightful, and love when they have creative summer salads and unique cocktails.
We stumbled in here horribly underdressed after a Mt Tam hike, but no one seemed to mind, and what an amazing find it was! We're from Portland where we have a lot of great seafood, but the halibut here was probably the most perfectly cooked and well seasoned I've had. The portion was large and the accompaniments were also perfection. Local farmers market kale and couscous both cooked with some kind of magic, in a to-die-for sauce that made you want to lick the bowl....
