The soup dumplings were incredible. The pork chops over rice was savory and delicious. Sapporo on draft is a plus. I will visit again!

Oh man oh man. Salty duck egg everything. This place does everything well. But the salty duck egg fries are something else. Salty, crispy, creamy, umami. Sickness is what it's given me. A sickness for stick and steam. Get this, they have dim sum Togo. Har Gow. Shui Mai. My favorite black bean spareribs. All really hood and very consistent. Come here. Support this amazing hidden gem.

The noodles soups I ordered and the hai nan chicken rice plate are okay, but don't order the skewers they should have put into a plastic container...all the sauce leaked everywhere.

Overrated and RIDICULOUSLY overpriced for their hainan chicken rice. First, let's talk about the to go container. If the quantity is not so much, i think they should switch to another type of togo container. Overall it just looked pathetic. Secondly, let's talk about the taste. The rice was way too oily and garlicy to be a decent hainan chicken rice. the authentic flavor should just be light with a hint of chicken soup cooked with the rice. The chicken itself wasn't as good either. The only thing i liked about the chicken was that they made it boneless. And not to mention, since the chicken wasn't so good, I asked for extra sauce to cover the taste and they told me they can't give me extra sauce! All i wanted was one extra garlic and onion oil sauce and they were too stingy to given give that.

I want to support local businesses during COVID and this place did not disappoint. The pork Xiao Long Baos were amazing as they came out piping hot, and each dumpling was filled with delicious soup, and the skin was thin, which is what a good XLB should be. My picky husband said that it was one of the best XLB he's had and they rival even ones from L.A. (Din Tai Fung ?!) We also ordered the Braised Beef Noodle Soup and the Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup and both were very flavorful and savory. This place was definitely a pleasant surprise because the location is a little weird. It's in the same area where In-N-Out, Panera and a car wash is located. But like a good book...don't judge it by it's cover. Disclaimer: We ate outside so I know that it can make a difference if you ordered the same things for delivery, especially the Xiao Long Baos.

COVID: takeout only, no indoor dining but seats available outside (no heaters) FOOD ($42 for the following) - chicken soup (~$14, yay): really enjoyed the hainan chicken, very flavorful and moist. Soup was savory - chicken rice (~$14, yay): S.O. Enjoyed this and the ginger sauce - dim sum sampler (~$6, yay): juicy XLB - har gao (~$5, good): skin wasn't great as it stuck to the paper but there was lots of shrimp, yum TLDR: kind of a weird location for food, but hit the spot for quick savory chicken soup and dim sum!

Not sure why I have never written a review for this place because it's one of my regular places to get dinner! I probably get stuck and steam about once every other week. It's located next to L&L in that area with in n out and ducky's car wash. My boyfriend and I usually order half a hainan chicken, kimchi fried rice, side of hao grow, side of salted yolk fries to share. Their hainan chicken is THE BEST!! Extremely juicy and the sauces that come with the chicken pairs great. We also order their drinks, I get the dirty monster and my boyfriend gets the passionfruit aloe green tea. Their drinks are pretty good, I would sometimes come by and only order the drinks as well. Definitely give this place a try. They also have some really good skewers. I also recommend their pork belly with baos as well. So delicious

Located close to the airport and the Millbrae Bart/Caltrain terminal. This great location offers excellent Cantonese style cuisine, in a fast food type setting. They have both outdoor seating and limited indoor seating. The hainan chicken is soft, juicy, and flavorful. I really enjoyed the flavored rice that accompanies the chicken. We also ordered the beef brisket in noodle soup: tender, lean beef brisket over egg noodles, won tons, and delicious broth. They have a liquor license, so you can also enjoy a cold beer with your meal.

Whenever I'm craving Hainan chicken with rice, Stick & Steam always seems to comes to mind... Ordered the regular Hainan chicken rice plate, crispy fried chicken rice plate, salted egg yolk fries and salted egg yolk fish skin (I know, I went a little overboard with the salted egg yolk stuff). The Hainan chicken is a staple for me from them and the crispy fried chicken was pretty good too, they give you 3 types of sauce and they were all very different from each other but complimented the chicken very well. I had the salted egg yolk fries before so I knew it was good but then the salted egg yolk fish skin blew my mind even more! It was super crispy and crunchy even after 20mins of getting back home to finally get to try the fish skin. The batter was light and you can totally taste the salted egg yolk all coated on the fish skin, it was a delight in every bite. Haven't tried a place that makes this good of their fried fish skin yet without it being soggy after brining it back home from delivery, so this place definitely made it to my go-to list when it comes to Hainan chicken rice and salted egg fish skin!

Having lived and worked in Singapore for over 2 years, I am very picky whenever I go out to try Hainanese chicken rice here as I have not found any restaurant that offers the same authentic and delicious chicken rice that I had in Singapore. Today I finally found Stick & Steam whose chicken was as delicious and tender as what I had in Singapore. The rice was good, and they gave me 3 sauces to go with the chicken rice. My favorite was the ginger and green scallions sauce, and I also liked the hot sauce. I didn't care much about the sweeten soy sauce (not sure what that was but some dark sauce that was a bit sweeten). My husband ordered the crispy chicken rice, which he enjoyed very much. We sat indoor this time but they have a few tables outside so next time we can bring our dog to sit outside. On our way out we noticed that they have a few new items such as wonton noodles and beef noodles posted on the wall. I asked one of the staff why those items were not on the menu and was told that those items would be available soon.

I wasn't sure about boneless hainan chicken at first but after trying it here I think I actually prefer it that way, still every bit as flavorful while less messy. My mango boba drink and dim sum was great too, although would not recommend the skewers

I visit this outstanding place from time to time as I like the good air that is outline this place. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably loving and well trained. The service is absolutely rapid. Most important, the food you eat is good. I frequent more than once and I was never disappointed. The cost is decent. I recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

This place served me chicken with the chicken hair and a tiny piece of human hair still on it, The food is not good at all except for the sio mai. Two stars because the food isn't good but the customer service was great when I asked them to replace my order with something else. Although they forgot to cook the food and I had to wait a little longer
