We primarily order take-out and it's quick, tasty, and satisfying. The fish is fresh and hits the spot every time.

Solid 4 for the food, 4.5 stars overall! Been here a couple times, I find it convenient to order everything on the tablet as needed, and if I liked something more, I could easily order more. I had a long workweek, so decided to drop by here last minute a little past 8pm on a friday to treat myself. Chill and peaceful vibe, relatively quiet, minimal interaction with others, and perfect for going through some phone chores. Plenty of parking and no wait at this time. Might be best to come in parties of 1-4 since that's the size of one table.

Fish is fresher than expected at this price point, currently 1.25 per pc of sashimi and 1.65 per pc of nigiri, and maybe $3-4 for special items like hokkaido scallop and uni nigiri. Being able to order 1 pc or small portions makes it convenient to try new items, e.g. I learned i didn't like saba or egg herring lol, so just ate 1 pc of those.

Awesome sushi, some of the best in the bay. Chiefs know what they're doing and the staff is friendly and fast. Ordering is different but I like the outside of the box thinking, push a button and your food magically appears.

Great pricing, but get what you pay for.

Favorite sushi spot since moving from SOCAL to up here! Prices are the best I have found and are even more worth it than some AYCE spots. Sushi is of great quality, with new specials of different types of nigiri options. It has a cozy interior with kind and helpful waitresses. You order via an IPad making it very easy to get what you want and would make one comfortable if arriving for a solo dinner. Please give this spot a shot despite the harsh parking, I would recommend coming on a weekday to ease that difficulty. Very delicious and I guarantee you’ll leave satisfied! (I 100% RECOMMEND GETTING WALU, WHITE TUNA, TAKOYAKI$

Best deal in the Bay, as well as one of my favorite sushi places in the Bay area. It's not as high quality as my favorite higher end sushi restaurants, but it's fresh and cheap, and you don't need a reservation.

I love that, like the name implies (though it's also a reference to the famous pirate anime), you can order individual pieces of nigiri and aren't forced to buy pairs. The rolls are also smaller (3-4 pieces), so you can have more variety in the same meal without having to get a large group together to share normal-sized rolls of 6-8 pieces. And of course the prices are lower accordingly. Actually, the prices are probably better per piece than anywhere else despite the smaller minimum buy.

The shari (sushi rice) has a really nice, subtle, not too sweet taste, and a texture that's soft and moist without being too wet, and sticks together well and doesn't fall apart.

Most of the fish is good, and the portions are generous. You can even get real crab here, which is uncommon. My favorites are the salmon belly and kurodai (black cod).

There are a few items I wouldn't recommend here, like the ankimo or hand rolls (but only because I feel hand roll bars are the place to go for the best hand rolls), but most of the food is good, and the owners are nice and hardworking.

It can get busy, but for the most part it's easy to just walk in and not have to wait. It feels like the best-kept secret on the peninsula, because at these prices and this quality, why isn't the place packed all the time? I've seen sushi bars with much worse-tasting fish and higher prices be consistently busier for no good reason. Ambience can only take you so far, and it's not like some of those places look all that fancy either.

You can walk out fairly full for $20-25 per person, or roll out stuffed to the gills for $30-50pp, (ridiculously high) tax and 20% tip included.

The minor downsides are:

1. Parking is street only, and it can be challenging to find a spot nearby.

2. They only have 1 album they play on an endless loop. I wish I could give them more music to play. I just put on headphones when I get really tired of it. Otherwise, those few songs get stuck in my head all week.

3. The restaurant itself is pretty bare bones visually, with the exception of some small wall art they've added in recent years. However, it's cleaner than your average hole-in-the-wall joint, even the bathroom, so you can feel comfortable ordering and eating raw fish here.

Very simple and fast. Food is great and cost is reasonable. Good selection of items.

Very affordable and open late. There's better sushi out there, but not at this price. Friendly staff, quick service, and cheap hot sake. What more could you ask for?

You really get what you pay for here. It may look like sushi but it sure do not taste like sushi. Quality is low but price is also low.

The name comes from the ability to order small plates of what you want, letting you stitch together the meal you want (and no more / extra). It's not the best quality sashimi, and I wouldn't go here for ambience, but service is quick and you get exactly what's promised. The non-sushi portions are better than I expected
