Order Smork “smoked pork” with bamboo shoots.

Back in May 2025, it was our first time trying out this restaurant. Since it is our first time, we asked the waitress for any recommendations. With her charming and sweet smile, she spent a whole 5 min introducing their menu to us. We tried out a few dishes she recommended and added a few of our own liking. I have to say, I liked her recommendation more than ours.

To list a few that my wife and I love:
- The Green Onion Pancake (蔥發大餅) is really, really good. It is a must-order dish.
- Their Orange Chicken (橘皮雞) is unlike others we tried before. They use the actual orange skin as key ingredient to cook the chicken. it is so yummy.
- The Stir-fried Cabbage (熗炒包心菜) is stir-fried just right, crispy, and not too oily. The dish looks simple, but yet it is hard to make the dish taste really good, and they did it. I have not tasted such good cabbage dish in any other Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area.

The restaurant settings and atmosphere are also nicely decorated and very clean. Even the restroom is clean and free of oily smoke. When we came out of the restaurant, our cloth didn't smell like we had been in a Chinese restaurant.

I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It is close to SFO airport, so it will be a good restaurant choice before your trip starts or coming back from a long trip. And we will come back for more.

I used to live nearby but moved away years ago…and Wonderful is one of the places I missed most. I was lucky to get to stop in while visiting, and the food is just as tasty (and spicy) as I remember!

Generous portion. Clean atmosphere and tasty dishes.

The restaurant is a failure. The food is reasonably good but no better than that, not memorable, as such it’s overpriced by about 50%. Service was perfunctory, inattentive and borderline rude. Maybe they don’t like Caucasians eating at their restaurant? The kicker is the mandatory 18% service fee, for bad service. Even worse, they add that fee to the subtotal, thus forcing customers to pay tax on their “service”. Arrogant and rude.

The worst Chinese food I ever experienced. The Kung Pau chicken was suppose to be spicy with delicious flavors where i experienced from other Chinese restaurants i been to. Instead it was sweet and gross!!! Never ever going back to this dump! This place just ruined my Chinese dinner experience! This place is not wonderful, it's terrible!

Absolutely amazing and as good as it gets this side of the Pacific. Bring friends all the time who long for authentic meals.

Wonderful in Millbrae truly lives up to its name. Almost a decade ago, I used to commute between the city and the peninsula, and this spot became my go-to for dinner to beat the traffic. It’s easily one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area.

My top recommendation is the steamed tofu fish dish. It’s huge, super flavorful, and well worth the 20-30 minute wait (since they steam it fresh to order). I also highly recommend their wings and onion pancakes—both are equally delicious.

A nice clean homey Chinese restaurant serving human dishes. I will say they have the best smork I ever tasted. My goal is to return and try all their dishes that have smork in it cuz it's got nice smoky flavor. We also had cilantro with shredded beef. The beef is thinly cut/sliced instead of bigger chunks. A great sign for a Chinese place. The steam egg is just like what my wife and I had back in Taiwan. Childhood memories! Another reason i would happily drive from South bay to eat here again is their dish is NOT oily like other Hunan places in South bay...or Chinese restaurants in general. It's family style restaurant and it's not exactly cheap. The quality of the dishes well justifies the price. Worth it!

recently moved to la and even with the amazing options there, I miss this place and make it first stop when I visit the bay

I'm baffled by how this restaurant has received such high ratings. In my opinion, their food is far from authentic Sichuan cuisine. The service was arrogant, and to my dismay, I found a piece of cilantro that hadn’t even been unwrapped. This makes me doubt that any of the vegetables are properly cleaned. Their apology was insincere, and it's clear they know that losing one customer won't hurt them, as there will always be uninformed diners giving them business. However, I want more people to be aware of just how terrible this place really is.

Yesterday, I went to their house for dinner with my friends. I ordered mapo tofu, shredded beef with wild pepper and coriander, spicy chicken wings and flatbreads. They were all very delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive.

Could give 0 star if possible. They play around the numbers where you are not noticing. Not an honest business
