Banana Leaf Restaurant specializes in Malaysian cuisine, with some Thai dishes also available. The restaurant is popular and can get busy, offering a range of vegetarian options. The food and service were fantastic, and the food blew customers away. Customers recommend coming with company to enjoy the meal family-style and try multiple items off their extensive menu. The banana leaf-wrapped Chilean sea bass, papaya & mango shrimp salad, roti prata, pineapple fried rice, Singaporean black pepper beef, and red chicken curry were all amazing. The Chilean sea bass melted in the mouth like butter and was worth the wait. The papaya salad was refreshing and the fish sauce was light and tangy. Customers ordered a second plate of roti prata because they loved it. The pineapple fried rice was very flavorful and served in a pineapple. The ambiance was very chill. The tables are easy to manage with thicker paper on top for family-style meals. There are still table cloths on the tables. The server was really patient and offered good recommendations. While the food is generally praised for its taste, some customers have noted issues with ventilation, leaving a strong food smell, and finding some dishes overly sweet. The seafood tom yum soup doesn’t have a lot of seafood but too much celery. Seafood Laksa is interesting, but not everyone's type. Satay is good but also pricy. Despite these concerns, the restaurant offers large portions and free parking in the shopping complex. Customers will come back.
