Dave & Buster's Milpitas - San Jose

Wasn't impressed on our recent visit. I hadn't been to this location in quite a few years but this was the D&B that originally set the standard for me.

The vibe was lack luster. The was few people in the restaurant and game area. Lots of empty space in the game room where other locations normally are more packed in my experience. Staff was somewhat checked out. I left something in the car and to run back out and come back after less than 2 minutes and I was not greeted at all coming in either time but was told to come again.

Fries GPT was good but I was not a fan of the pretzel dogs which was salty or flatbread pizza that was in desperate need of more sauce.

The milpitas location is unfortunately better as a memory for me.

We ate at the restaurant, if it wasn't for the manager Elisa(Alisa?) I would have leaft 1 star. Slow terrible service, even tho it wasn't crowded. She made our night by in my opinion noticing her employees slacking and more than made up for it. I tried to tip her individually and she wouldn't accept it either, much to my dismay. She is the best.

A year ago I wrote the review at the bottom.. and nothing has changed, sat at the bar for 20 minutes, no one greeted or tried to get us a drink or take out order. Ended up sitting ourselves at the tables had to call the number to put our order in while sitting inside. No customer service at all . Very terrible who runs this place ? Seems like there is no managers, surprising for a Saturday night as a "fun place"

They take way toooo long to get food. Servers don't come around , u have to get their attention if you need something.

UFC fight prohibited my family from coming in to dine and play games. We were told by the hostess that we would have to pay a $10.00 cover per person just to get in. No interest in the fight, but turned away from just having a fun night out.

Come for the arcade stuff. Fun for adults and kids. I found it hilarious that I had to argue with the wait staff about our order. They brought the right orders to the table but challenged and argued with me about who ordered what dish.

I ordered take out Chicken Nachos without Jalapenos...When I arrived home there were diced jalapeños. I tried to eat it and pick them out but the meal was not good at all. Too much corn not enough beans, chicken was dry out and not enough sauce? It did not look appetizing. I had about 4 bites but couldn't eat it and it upset my stomach.

Jan 2025 update:
We gave this place another shot, not for food but for games. Had a decent time, but at least 4 of the games we tried were in disrepair, such as broken joysticks, steering wheels, and buttons. Lowering score from 2 stars to 1. The games are far too expensive to be broken.

I went here this past Friday evening with my gal. We were doing some stuff in the mall and wanted some dinner on the way out, so I chose here. We went to get seated in the primary non-video game area, but the gentleman said they were too busy to seat any more people. He recommended we approach the bar area and sit at the bar or a table nearby for quicker service.

We sat at a small, tall table a few feet away from the bar. They were fairly busy but we were patient in waiting. Assistance never came, and we left after 15+ minutes of waiting.

The arcade had some great games that I hoped to get to play, but that never materialized due to the dining room trouble they're having. Better luck next time? We may never know.

It's a Dave & Busters so you know what you're getting. Overpriced and overvalued, but if you can go midweek during the day you'll have the place to yourself.

My boyfriend and I came here to find out that we had to pay $20 cover charge each because they had that MMA or kickboxing game on the big screens in the bar area when we sat down at the bar to order a drink and I asked for my drink with a shot of vodka neat on the side the waitress told us simply that she could not do that this I’ve never heard of. I used to be in the Bar business and I know that that is not how you treat a customer who is wanting to buy liquor from your bar. Just a very bad experience will not go back to Dave & Buster’s big ALs It is from here on out.

Not all D&B are the same. Let's say that first!
This location in particular, needs a lot of game machines maintenance!! Out of the 5 games I played, 3 were down on a Wednesday!! Not acceptable at all

The games were fun (way overpriced though!), but the service was terrible at the folsom, ca location and they tried charging us way more than 20% gratuity. The server, Jovana, sat there and argued with us that it's accurate despite us showing her the math on a calculator to show her what 20% should be- it was also on the original receipt before they added it on. Finally someone else came over and fixed that. I was supposed to get a free dessert, she saw the reward on my app but the system wouldn't apply it because someone else in our party had used theirs. She refused to remove it from my bill and kept waving the kiosk at me to pay the full amount. I paid in full, however, i would have not gotten a dessert had I known the reward wouldn't work. We were also not checked on during our time dining. There were 3 separate parties there and we all had different servers, so they can't use busy as their excuse. The table in front of us was checked on very regularly and their server was VERY friendly.

the quik drop game is set to rotate extremely fast and has a very short time limit, making it nigh impossible to win. understandable that they want to make it hard, but disappointing nonetheless
