Love the ambiance. It is so unique. Roti Canai was great. Pineapple fried rice was good. Not a fan of Malaysian ice tea and shaved ice dessert.

Came in for a large group dinner and ordered a ton of dishes. Some notable ones included the Kari Chicken Potato, Sizzling Beef, And Princess Tofu. The food was all super tasty and flavorful. This was also my first time trying Malaysian food so I was pleasantly surprised. Not to mention our server, Chris, was super friendly and helpful when asking for recommendations. 5 stars to him! Was a bit on the pricier side but the portions were generous. Great first experience with Malaysian cuisine and would definitely come back again!

The meal was a tale of two dishes, one of which was truly exceptional.
The Kari Noodle was the clear winner and an absolute must-try. The flavor profile was rich, deep, and beautifully layered, showcasing the authentic blend of spices and coconut milk that defines a great curry broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the dish was incredibly satisfying—easily making it a standout menu item.
In contrast, the Pineapple Fried Rice was decidedly average. While it looked colorful and tempting, the flavor was serviceable but lacked the vibrant, tangy, sweet-and-savory complexity that elevates this dish. It filled a gap, but it wasn't memorable.

Bought Hainan chicken and beef curry to-go. The chicken is tastless and curry is OK. The Hainan rice bought separately also worse than what I can cook at home. Not going to visit any more
Had lunch at this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends. Food was great for most of the part except that the tom yam flavor in the Seafood Tom Yam soup is hardly detectable and the portion of the Roti Canoi is too flimsy and little for me (portion shown in the picture is about a third of the serving) considering the price that it is being charged. Special Kudos to both the Beef Rendang and Kang Kong Belachan which received rave reviews from my friends. Also, the coconut rice is nicely cooked as well. Indeed, it is a good restaurant to experience Malaysian cuisine.

This is very unfortunate to report, I do not like leaving bad reviews. I tend to be very forgiving and understanding, not stress about minor oversights at restaurants .
However,I’ve never had food so terribly mediocre at any restaurant EVER. I feel I’m doing a PSA by posting this - eating out is way too expensive these days to waste your money on bland food. Yes, it was that bad.
We had three dishes
- Chicken Captain Kee - absolutely NO flavor. None. The noodles tasted like whatever package they were in. I’ve never experienced a dish with no flavor before.
- Basil Chicken - underwhelming. The baby corn had the most flavor. That says a lot.
- Chicken Satay - just ok. Chicken a bit dry, flavor mellow, sauce a weird consistency.
Oh we did have roti and that was really excellent. Sadly, it set us up to believe the rest coming would be just as amazing.
This was so disappointing because I finally got my teen to try a new place - this is not an easy task! This experience only strengthened his stance on sticking with what he already knows and likes
Really wanted to like this place.
The service was good and folks were nice. Restaurant is nice and roomy.

The food was fine, but I just noticed I was charged about $5 more than what I actually spent. Could’ve been a mistake, but it’s still disappointing. Please check your bill carefully if you eat here.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I found flies body in my food, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious health and hygiene concerns. It’s shocking that a restaurant would serve something like this. When I brought it up to the staff, they offered no real apology or explanation, which made the situation even worse. I left immediately and will never return. I strongly urge others to avoid this place until they seriously improve their food safety and cleanliness standards.

Restaurantji Recommends
Atmosphere is Nice, but the Food is a little overpriced. We did not know what to order (everything in Malaysian). Although the workers seem Nice, they forgot to make suggestions ( we should have asked but they were busy). I would recommend come if you are larger than 2 people ( I think they give more attention to large party). I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice 18 something & Dad order some fried noodle 17. His Noodle was nice but he complain there was not enough curry flavour. I thought his noodle taste better than my Fried Rice. Although the Pineapple fried rice was Ok, it was not worth 18 dollars. It did have alot of Shrimp but I wish it had more chicken ( suppose to be Chicken& Shrimp)
Just overall the 18 dollar fried rice had alot of Rice but hardly any chicken. It had kind of a strange flavour. I wish it had more in the Rice than just Shrimp. For example, if they put more Onion or Chicken or just more oil, it would have gave the Pineapple Fried rice more flavour. When I ate it, i was wishing that I cooked my own ( because I like veggie or more Onion). It had literally no veggie nor Onion in it ! I was wishing I went to Panda express for more flavour. I just remember it had tons of Rice & hardly any veggie except tiny tiny bit of peas. Our bill came close to 50 dollars ( we ordered Mango drink & Dad order hot tea for 2.50) but we just did not feel the food had any flavour. It would have been better if they just put a little onion in the fried rice. Oh well, i guess we just order the wrong things but you would think that fried Rice is pretty basic ( especially Pineapple Fried Rice). I wish I went to Panda Express and spend 30 dollars instead of Dad spending 50 dollars for nothing! I would have not written this if Dad at least liked his curry noodle ( I think it was called mee...not sure)

The food was very yummy, especially the pineapple dishes! I also really like the sour fried fish. I liked how authentic this place was, i can tell it is not fully americanized!! Workers are nice and give good recommendations if u just ask! The restaurant itself is kinda dark lighting and not too fancy. Another plus was that there was no line at all when I went.

I recommend the vegetarian gado gado (the regular has egg), perhaps with sauce on the side if trying to be a bit healthier. The waiter confirmed with the kitchen that these dishes are vegan from the vegetarian menu- - roti canai appetizer - gado gado appetizer - Malaysian Buddhist entree The gado gado came smothered with rich, slightly sweet peanut sauce. The deep fried pumpkin or squash went very well with it. Since it's supposed to be a salad, they included some crispy jicama and savory tomatoes, I do wish there was more of these.
