I’m a huge fan of Vietnamese food, so when @phohanoibayarea opened in Milpitas, I knew I had to check it out!
First up was the Cubed Steak with Tomato Rice — the meat was tender, and the rice packed so much flavor. Solid 4.5/5.
Next, I tried the Beef Pho Combo, which came with generous portions of beef. The broth was rich, savory, and absolutely delicious. Pro tip: always go for the fresh noodles — they make all the difference.
Lastly, I had their Summer Special: Grilled Pork and Egg Roll with Vermicelli. The egg rolls were perfectly crispy, and the grilled pork was beautifully marinated. A fantastic meal all around!

Both quality and quantity have gone downhill too much, and I don’t think I’m visiting anymore after having loved their pho for a long time.
The pho broth is like a water nowadays and you will get a kid’s size for a regular size bowl.
Time to get back to Pho Kim Long where obviously offers better pho now(different style tho)

I have had Pho Ha Noi in San Jose and Cupertino. Today, I tried one in Milpitas. I have a rice plate with pork chop and a fried egg. It is very decent dish. Much better than Thiên Huong.
I will be back when I am craving for. Vietnamese food

some items are of great value. Flank steak and ribs in pho are fantastic and among the best in norcal, fresh, beefy, definitely not frozen sliced, generous portions. Will come back and try their Hainan chicken rice, for $19 you get half chicken that is the size of a penguin, you can tell from the luster on the skin that the bird is poached to perfection.

Pho Ha Noi is a decent place for people who love northern vietnamese cuisine. I’m from Hanoi and I approve the place. I don’t think it’s realistic to ask for 100% authentic and very good Hanoi Pho and I think this place meets like 80%, but I still give them a 5 star because 80% authentic is already very good. Why I think they only meet 80% is because I don’t serve garlic vinegar and still serve the dish with beans sprout and other herbs - that’s how the southern people eat Pho.
I also had Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) here and to my surprise, it also serves decent chicken pho which I think is quite difficult to cook good like a true Hanoian.
Anyway, still very impressive and enjoy this restaurant, especially it’s like 3 mins away from my home. I have had some quick run to this restaurant at lunch for a pickup. Good one!
