The chocolates are amazing - you will have a special appreciation for it after the tour. David and Corey are exceptional chocolate makers and have created a company that excels in all areas. Take the tour - you'll love it. Thank you both for changing the way I view chocolate. I enjoyed the tasting session - smooth and exquisite!

There is limited access to the facility but the tour allows you to view some of the ongoing process. It's quite impressive. They make thousands of individual chocolates every day. Our guide was very informative and a small piece of fresh chocolate awaits you at the end.

My recommendation is the Sea Salted Caramel chocolate - it's like a little bit of heaven in your mouth! The Passion fruit and peanut butter chocolates are strong contenders too, but as he regularly creates new innovative chocolate combinations I recommend always trying something different in your box selection.

I don't even know where to begin. The chocolate covered banana is by far the best. I drive 45 minutes just to get one. However, for the last six months (approx) every time i went they never had it. I just assumed it was a popular item...since it really is that good. WELL, a couple weeks me and my family came. I ordered the chocolate banana and one of the three girls that were working had told me that they just put the banana in the freezer, so they wouldn't be able to dip it in the chocolate. I said okay and just continued to shop. 2 hours later I had my sister call and ask if they had the chocolate bananas and one of the ladies said no. Then my mother went up to them and asked if they had chocolate bananas and they told her that unfortunately not. My sister and I went back 5 minutes and we asked if the bananas were ready since the lady earlier told us that they just put it on the freezer. They told us that yes it was ready but when I got it, it was warm. This is one of many frustrating experiences I've had. It sucks because I really enjoy this place but the employees discourage me from wanting to come back.

No.... I visited this location yesterday around 1:00pm and there were 3 young female employees standing around on their cell phones. I asked for my item and when she placed it on the scale to weigh she removed the unsanitary tray which she had at one point had probably had samples on. Underneath that where old sheets of parchment paper that she put the item on top of. The bottom of the tray had just touched the dirty partchment... nothing about this was sanitary. She then grabbed a bag from the drawer and put my item inside with her gloved hand which at that point I questioned whether was sanitary. I did not feel good about this at all. I will never return again. Gross... I would suggest management do a surprise visit and see what's going on with your employees. Get a better manager and hire better staffing. This is terrible business practice for food industry. And these young girls should be looking for new jobs. Same for management. Ridiculous. Unacceptable.

Their candy apples are the best and definitely worth the drive to get them. Their customer service is amazing and employees are always very nice and helpful. They definately have some of the best chocolate out there!

Happy Halloween, guys! One of my must-do Halloween activities is to get myself at least two caramel apples. While you can buy caramel and candy apples at local grocery stores like Safeway, my go-to for apples will always be Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Remember to check-in for your free chocolate-covered strawberry, it's pretty good! And if you're looking to buy more than one caramel apple, order two less than you plan to. Employees at all the locations I've ever been to seem to have been instructed to two offer the "buy one more, get one free" deal no matter how many apples you're getting. So, for example, if you want four apples, then order two and let them offer you the deal. And if they don't, then ask. I also really like that they make decorated apples specifically for holidays. Safeway will sell caramel apples with another layer of white confection and covered in Halloween sprinkles, and I honestly can't stand the taste (pure, stale-tasting sugar on the outside). Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's make holiday-appropriate ones that you can actually eat. Additionally, I didn't get them, but they have these skewers of chocolate and/or caramel covered marshmallows, as well as marshmallows in an ice cream cone, decorate specifically for Halloween. They're very cute and on the lower right shelves of the apple display. And when I mean bottom, I mean look at the very bottom shelf. They tend to be pretty on top of monitoring the freshness of their apples, with the lady testing the sticks (apparently too wiggly sticks indicates the possibility of mold in the center) and refusing to sell me these chocolate-caramel covered apples that had eye decorations on them and inviting me to pick something else. I appreciate that. Three out of the four apples I got were perfectly crisp, with my dad commenting how fresh the apple was when I shared a tiger butter one with him. However, the one Halloween one I got (the orange one) did have mold in the center. So just heads up, that does occasionally happen. But really, the customer service was great, the lady was very nice and made some great recommendations. My favorite flavors are the chocolate covered apple, the Tiger Butter, and the Apple Pie one. In general, I actually don't like to get the plain caramel ones, as that caramel gets everywhere and stuck in my teeth. The ones that have additional layers tend to be less messy and easier to eat. If you're not going to eat your apple right away, I wouldn't recommend getting it cut there, but you can always go back to the stall if you change your mind while at the stall. The good thing is that Granny Smith apples brown a LOT slower than other kinds. So overall, definitely recommend dropping by for Halloween. Otherwise, be safe, drive carefully, call for an Uber if you drank at your Halloween party, don't wander off alone into shady a** areas, and have fun!

I was looking for a unique wedding treat for my daughter and future son-in-law. I came across Rocky Mountain Chocolates and called about the Bride & Groom chocolate covered strawberries. Unfortunately I needed them ASAP and hadn't given enough of an advanced notice. Since we wouldn't be giving the treats to the happy couple for a couple of days, Miriam the Manager suggested that I purchase the Bride & Groom caramel apples instead because they would hold up much better. Best idea!!! Miriam made them within 2 hours time and they were perfect!!! I can't thank her enough!!! Everyone loved them especially the happy couple!!! Because of Miriam's positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to provide creative alternatives she has gained a customer for life.

By the time I got there there was only like 3 chocolate covered strawberries :( and when I spoke to the lady she said they would still have them by the time I got there and that was false... not only that I saw a bunch of fruit flys buzzin around behind the glass lol I'll probably end up paying extra for edible arrangements, I just figured this would be a nice little hole in the wall for sweets

This was an awful place don't go here Mold on apples. Very high price stuff that comes with mold in it. The owner wasn't helpful after I took the Apple back he asked if my boyfriend wanted another one....... we literally wanted to smack him but we simply told him no and asked for a refund and went about our day....

Do yourself a favor and get the Cheesecake Caramel Apple. I know it sounds weird, but it is one of those flavors that a friend has to insist you to try because you're "not a huge cheesecake fan". It isn't too overpowering, it isn't too sweet, and the sourness from the apple is just perfect. Whenever I am here, I have to get one! Pro tips: ask for it sliced bc the thought of biting into an entire caramel apple seems messy and may be a nonstarter. Also this allows for the treat to be shared. Ask for the stamp card because you'll be back! The woman who helped me was super sweet, she told me about the check-in for the chocolate covered strawberry and made it for me fresh. It was delicious and felt like a valued customer. I will always come back!!!

So sad they closed their SF location. I drove all the way to Milpitas for these apples. Sooo good.

The chocolate sweets are truly delicious! The price is a bit high but the quality makes it worth the cost for an occasional indulgence. I docked this place one star because we could not use the gift cards given to us from a friend. Because they were purchased online they had to be redeemed online. That is an outdated policy.
