Parking: Teriyaki chicken bent box portion was generous, and the chicken was tasty, but i didn't like the special beef sushi roll, which I tasted for the first time !

One of the best sushi places in the bay area! Some of my favorite rolls are: Happy Blossom, Train, Rockstar and Storm Bringer. The quality is consistently excellent and I'm always satisfied. I can't recommend it enough! Just be aware there isn't a ton of parking in the shopping center so plan accordingly.

Sen Dai accomplished what no other sushi restaurant has: Provided too much sushi for me to eat!! Don’t get me wrong, many restaurants have said “you’ve ordered too much,” but they were wrong.
I placed a delivery order (and so can’t speak to ambiance or service) for around $80, which in my town is less than a usual (big) dinner. It was SO much food! The rolls were enormous, the sushi was gigantic, and the sashimi was doubly large. And it was fresh and presented prettily. (I had leftover sushi for breakfast the next morning, so it didn’t go to waste.)
I was only in San Jose for 9 evenings, and Sen Dai was good enough I ordered it twice.
My second time was half the price of the first…and I *still* couldn’t finish it all!
The message: The food was enormous, fresh, and delicious. I’m a fan

I was so satisfied with its thick and big chunks of sashimi. The sashimi tasted fresh and so delicious. Love it and highly recommended.
Parking: The parking lot might be not big enough for the customers during the peak of the dining hours.

A few bites in I knew I made a mistake of ordering sushi in suburbia. Giant American sized rolls covered in sauce to mask the fishy smell. Absolutely tasteless and a messy giant glob - unable to finish.

A nice little sushi restaurant. I got the katsu rice bowl, and it was much larger than I expected. There was lots of rice, so I couldn't finish it.

First off, my family has been going here for years. Reason for this 1 star is due to the ridiculous “to go” food policy. My wife and daughter came and ordered food togo, I was on my way home from work and suggested to eat in. I showed up and about to order. During which I ask is the to go food ready? The lady said “it is, but you cannot eat to go food here. You have to eat it outside of the restaurant” I went to explain the situation but she was firm on the restaurant policy. My question is WHY? WHY? I’m not trying to short change the restaurant!! I’m sure there is reason why Sendai has this policy BUT there should be exceptions!!! I’m disappointed.
