The serving speed is way toooo slow. We waited for 50mins and the food was still not served.

For the steam pot only:It definitely did not taste as good as social media claims. Overall, this kinda reminds me of hotpot, but steamed, since you are expected to get your own sauces. The dishes on their own are largely flavorless. For this price, I'd rather go eat hotpot. The seaweed salad at the sauce bar was the best thing. The porridge at the end was the second best.

Totally not worth the price and laughably bad service. Guests have to choose between either a yakiniku table or a steam table. We chose the yakiniku side, and were told that as long as we order 4 or more steam items, they will bring a steamer to our table side. We ordered 5 steam items, and then the waiter told us our table does not have an electric plug, and therefore he cannot bring a steamer. Later we found out the venting fan at our table was broken, and they didn't even try to address the problem, just shrug the shoulders, "sorry". All these for a $600 dinner with service charge automatically included. Terrible experience. We will never go back again.

Tired the steamed pot with scallop and mushroom congee. The server takes care of everything, from handling all the ingredients to mixing the soup into congee for stewing. Ordered sea bass (approx. 1.9lb), wagyu beef, shrimp with okra, and veggies etc., but I was disappointed to find out that seafood lacked flavor and freshness. Wagyu beef was cut thickly and lacked elasticity, making it very tough and taste no different than something that’s been cooked thoroughly. Okra with shrimp was actually shrimp paste instead of a whole shrimp on top. Vegetables were bitter, definitely not worth the price. Their house sauce was tasty though. Side dish bar and sauce area didn’t add too much value. Overall, food was average, not recommended.Seating was cramped, table small and uncomfortable, you have to sit pretty upright. Servers prepared dishes too quickly possibly due to the time limit for each course in the steam pot, making it feel rushed. The restaurant was quite empty, we were able to find seating easily during weekend dining, with plenty of available tables.

If you order the grill set, the quality of meat is not bad. However, they are not marinated so not much flavor there. And there's no sauce or condiments besides of salt - pepper on the table, which were empty on our table as obviously everyone use them heavily to try to add some flavor to their meats. We made a reservation and went there early in the evening so no wait. Got seated right away. The ambience is nice and the service was quite attentive.I'm a meat & seafood lover and the quality of both were good so would like to go again. However, I really wish they would offer a condiments bar or somehow marinate or add some flavor to the meat.

This is not Vegas, but the presentation felt like it! Xian Steam Pot & Yakiniku took over the old Gen building in Milpitas. You have two dining options - Steam Pot or Yakiniku. Although the Steam Pot looked really interesting, we opted for the good ol' Japanese BBQ. This is not your everyday kind of JBBQ, but more of a place to come to for big celebrations.Fuji 富士 - $199 (serves 2-3 people)• Australian Wagyu BMS9 Short Loin• US Wagyu Gold Line Kalbi• US Wagyu Beef Tongue• US Wagyu Sirloin Steak• Kalbi Short Rib w/ Bone• Kurobuta Tontoro• Australian Lobster Tail• Garlic Shrimp• Veggie Plate (seasonal)• Clay Pot Wagyu Rice (MY FAV!! Soooo good, definitely the winner)

Nice ambiance, good food and presentation. We ordered the $299 BBQ selection and they have the side dishes of rice inside the clay pot, soup and salad. There are different choices steam or BBQ selections and the price is good for the quality of the steak. Love the ventilation system here because my clothes won't get smell with food afterwards. Another note, they have service charge here apx 18% which can add up. Overall, we enjoyed it here.

First time trying steam pot and it was amazing! We opted to order only seafood and veggies after reading the reviews. 5 dishes for 2 people was plenty and we took a lot home. My favorite was the steamed oysters, garlic sea clam with vermicelli, razor clams, and surprisingly the napa cabbage. I would not recommend the steamed octopus as its pricey for something you can get at the market. I loved the concept of steaming your food, and loved watching everything cook. We also opted for the scallop mushroom porridge base and it was so flavorful at the end of the meal. The sauce bar was also a good idea as I ended up liking the sauce that I made more than the sauce that was provided. It was a really interesting concept and fun idea. Definitely a bit more of a splurge than an everyday dinner but would highly recommend trying! Service was extremely attentive and quick. The servers would come within 30 seconds when our food was ready to help us with the food and put on a new plate to cook. Food (seafood only): 5/5 Service: 5/5 Vibes: 5/5

We decided to give this place a try after seeing it on Instagram. We went around 4pm and got seated right away. The place is esthetic and the service was good! The meat was also delicious! The kanmuri was perfect for two people, but if you have a bigger appetite I recommend getting more.

Absolutely phenomena. The ambiance was AMAZING, I loved looking at the live animals in the tank. The food was delicious and I would have to say the steam pot is my favorite feature of the restaurant
