Very tasty Persian food, one of the best in Orange County. A bit pricey but so is everything else nowadays. Ghorme Sabzi was very tasty.

Very delicious authentic Persian food. The food tastes like the home made food that we used to eat back in Iran. The service is great. The place is very clean. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a real Persian food.

My wife and I recently visited Shemroon restaurant and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. Unfortunately, the food was not up to standard ,it lacked flavor, and the ingredients did not seem fresh.
Geimeh and Celery stews had no meet on it.
The accommodations were also lacking, with uncomfortable seating and a poorly arranged space. To make matters worse, the ambiance was far from inviting.
Overall, we would not recommend this restaurant, as it fell short in almost every aspect.

I am getting concerns: for my wife it is easier to pick up good food from Shamroon than to cook...

What a wonderful lunch at Shemroon in Mission Viejo today. The restaurant is small, clean and quaint in the shopping center at 23052 Alicia Parkway. Our server Shahram was very efficient, kind and personable. We started with tea and Kashk E Bademjan which was seasoned perfectly and very good. The flatbread was also tender and warm. For lunch my wife had the chicken koobideh entree and I had the koobideh combo. The meals were nicely prepared, presented and very tasty. This fine Persian restaurant is fantastic and we will certainly be back. They also cater. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Shemroon is a cozy and local Persian restaurant that’s a real gem in our community. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with friendly smiles and a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I love the dishes they serve the food in. It reminds me of my hometown, Tehran.

The place has a charming, intimate vibe perfect for any occasion, whether you're just grabbing a casual meal or celebrating something special. The decor is a nice mix of traditional Persian touches and modern style, with soft lighting and soothing background music that make the experience even better.

The staff here are fantastic. They're super friendly and always ready to help with menu suggestions or any special requests. They know the dishes inside and out and are genuinely excited about Persian cuisine, which adds to the authenticity of your meal. Service is quick, and they make sure you're well taken care of. At one point the owner brought us some of their "Ashe Reshteh", which was absolutely delicious.

The menu has a great variety of Persian dishes, from tasty kebabs to aromatic stews and flavorful rice dishes. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes, really bringing out the rich flavors of Persian cuisine. While some dishes might not be as bold as others, the overall quality is consistently good. The portions are generous, and the presentation is lovely.

While the food at Shemroon is solidly four stars, the overall experience bumps it up to a five-star rating. The combination of a cozy atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious food makes this place a must-visit if you’re looking for authentic Persian cuisine. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

Great place for koobideh, ghormeh sabzi and barg. I have been here 3 times already in the past 6 weeks. I have not tried their other foods.
Also have awesome tea. A must have after good koobideh plate.

All my 3 visits here, owners were very nice and professional.

TLDR: mid-tier kabob, good portions, skimp on sides.Pros:- close to my house.- big portions (3 meals from koobideh combo).- tomato was good- owner seems nice.Cons:- no sabzi or lavash with food.- kabob is kinda bland.- Kabob was not charred enough.Neutral:- kabob is not dry or juicy- pita was okFinal thoughts: good in a pinch or if you’re American and don’t like spices. Otherwise highly recommend going to Mission Ranch Market. It’s like 5 mins away and much better (but much longer wait). Also this spot is better for dine-in. Can’t do that at MRM.
