Talk about a DIVE! First off, don't be misinformed about this place. It's not a cafe at all, but actually a hookah lounge for lonely, unfriendly people who are easily impressed by a dive like this. The place is practically tucked away in an alley. I wouldn't suggest coming here at night unarmed. It looks like the perfect spot for shady business. Any who, we called in to place an order and were given a 30 minute prep time. A little over 30 minutes later; we arrived to pick up our food (which wasn't ready). However, that didn't stop the worker from taking our money the moment we approached the counter. We paid around $11, $12 for each plate (not including soda). While waiting, the "waitress" was extremely rude, unprofessional, and made us feel like we just ruined her day by coming in and actually making her work. By the time our food was ready, we just wanted out, because the place was smoke infested, and their clientele looked like they were about to bring the strong arm of the law down on us. The worst part was getting home, opening the container, and realizing that we just spent $11, $12 on 2 teaspoons of rice, a stale piece of kabob, and a small piece of bread. The portions here are insulting to the paying customer, and I wouldn't suggest making the drive to come here 3/29/2013 Joey A: Did you really just create an account on Yelp to single me out? Do you really have a "special someone?" If the answer to any of those questions is "YES," then surely you have better things to do than to create fake accounts, right? One of the best hookah lounges in Modesto! Great service, fun crowd, and AMAZING food!! Also has DJ parties on the weekends sometimes AND Happy Hour 3-6pm $6!!
Came here for lunch and enjoyed a hearty and delectable meal. Food is prepared to perfection; meat was juicy and tender, rice was buttery but light, and the veggies chard exactly as I like them. The place is sparkling clean, and service was good. Can't ask for more! If you haven't tried it out, it's worth a visit.
