Great place. I love the burritos and nachos. The owner is friendly and personable. Recently discovered he is the grandson of Carmen's Restaurant owner. Carmen's was an iconic restaurant in McHenry Village for many, many years.

Inside is Dated but Being around for many years.. who cares.. they are doing something right ? I do Miss there 2nd Location across from the Mall on Dale Rd. That was a nice cozy restaurant. But.. the McHenry Location will do Just Fine?

My aunt recently took me out to lunch at garcia jojos and an employee Alma who worked there humiliated me in front of a restraint full of people. We were ordering our meal and while we waited I needed to use the ladies room. I was told very loudly and rudly that I couldn't use the restroom unless I ordered a combo! What?!! I have never heard of such a outrageous rule in my life and as great as their food is I can't imagine dining in there any longer. It's a real shame because I love their food

Ok, so I ordered: three tacos de, lengua, Pollo, and Chile Verde, a carne asada burrito, nachos de pastor, and a horchata.The lengua taco was a little too soft with moderate flavor 6/10, the pollo was good 7/10, and Chile Verde was great 9/10.The burrito was flimsy, un-toasted, and started falling apart real quick, but the flavor was ok, 5/10.The nachos were really flavorful, but the pastor tasted over cooked, like if it had been sitting under the heat lamp too long, and the guacamole started turning brown right away, 7/10. (It was under everything)The horchata was a little watered down, but it was kind of smooth, 6/10.The salsa that came with the order was pretty good, actually. My kids loved it and ate all the chips with it. 8/10The customer service was ok. The ladies were mostly standing around and laughing while the salsas were left uncovered, which included the guacamole.Overall, it's ok, but if you really don't know any better, it's going to be great.

You will have a hard decision with all the delicious options their menu board has to offer.
