I love going to Safeway, just not today. I felt like I was being chased down by security today. I am dressed with jeans and a cute top. Nothing hanging out. Just so creepy. I showed my ring finger and put my phone up while waiting in line. Security left. I purchased my groceries and left. Not going there again.

I never felt so uncomfortable here i always go to Safeway to buy flowers and I never experienced what I did today. I tried asking for some help and tips. The lady with glasses and a mask on at the flower section gave me dry responses then you got your security guard hands folded just watching me can't even look for the perfect flowers for my girlfriend in peace. I was going to buy more but the way he was starring at me just made grab and go. I bet you it was the way I look or because I had my bag with me. After I paid he left... give him a security shirt! Work your pay. I'm sure he don't get paid to be flower security ...lmao

I love this store! This is not close to my house, but whenever I have a special occasion this is the store I go to for entertaining. They have such a nice selection of everything and its top quality. Their bakery is one of my favorites in the area. Service is always good, and they keep their store very nice and neat. The deli has some really good pre cooked foods!

I don't know how else to give cuddos but there was a cashier named Monica whose overall attitude and demeanor honestly made my day. She was so kind and really personable and when someone in customer service has that kind of personality it's surprising and really admirable. Thank you Monica you deserve some serious recognition!!

Do not go here if you want service waited in deli for 10 plus min 3 workers no help 3 other people in line left went to sprouts young girl in deli is so slow and doesn't care will not go back pay twice as much for food and they don't car if you go there or not

Bakery yesterday looked terrible Unable to fine water that was on sale the 24 count But had plenty of a bait and switch 35 count water Long checkout lines , not enough checkers but the self checkout were all open Price increase on the bagel's You can do better

BEWARE OF DOORDASH of SONORA On 1st of October I ordered a box of wine and an apple pie through DOORDASH-Safeway my order was never delivered. Doordash Dax refuses to reimburse my money. Door dash offered nothing for this unjust theft. WHAT A Rip Off! driver did a complete No- Shaw abd DOORDASH stole my money/ Doordash knows this because there was alcohal which requires a signature and ID. If your thinking about trying Doordash DONT the doubled the price of Safeway abd charged my card amd refuse to protect your credit card against a fraudulent transaction

There are a couple managers there that are rather un-pleasant to have to deal with when there is an issue. Even a simple one. I definatly do not recommend this location. Most of the staff is friendly. Too much stealing goes on at this location at night. Seriously bad at nite.
I've never had a problem @safeway. I always find what I need, store is clean, employees are friendly and helpful. LOVE to cook and Safeway on Mc Henry in Modesto is always my go to store.

Please never go to this bakery, the Safeway in Modesto CA. They either take the order and never make the cake or make the wrong cake all together. 2 very important life moments with friends and family.....thank goodness for ice cream!

service couldn't be any worse in the deli dept! dont know why I even go there, went to get hubby a few chicken strips for dinner and there was only 5 old ones left. I asked the clerk if he would make some fresh ones and he said there were still some left! Expected me to pay $9.99 a pound for old food! About 4 months ago hubby got a big bone in the chicken pie from the deli, I contacted corporate and they said they would credit me for the pie and never did or didn't show any concern that it had a bone that could have been choked on!

Not sure if your employees are overworked, overwhelmedbut today's comment made was, everything happening at once.Well we can shop somewhere else and pay more, do realize it's only one store and I do know why and don't agree but come onand the shopping carts are a mile away (or seems like it.I used to work as a Produce manager, then store managerIf your not liking the situation become a problem solver and not the problem

I was just completely embarrassed and mortified by security employees at the McHenry Safeway in Modesto CA. Do not shop at this store! I am from Tuolumne county CA and am staying in Modesto. I was yelled at by a man in plain clothes as I was walking out to make a phone call,"YO YOU TAKING STUFF?!! then a woman in security uniform came up and pointed at a 99¢ store bag I had in hand and says,"YOU DIDN'T HAVE THAT WHEN YOU WALKED IN! " I say, "YES I DID I HAVE A RECEIPT!" Then they just walk away! Leaving me there with several other customers starring at me like I'm a common thief and low life! No apology or anything!!!! Stick to your local markets like O'Brien's folks. This is not your kind of store if you are a good American consumer and patriot.
