Have a nice customer service. Have a lot of food and nonfood items. have a fresh meat and fresh breed. New ownership are trying hard to make it better.

The best food and great service!

I went to Sultan Darbar as a quick take out meal for myself and my boyfriend. It is in my neighborhood and was hoping it would become a regular option for take out for us. They claim the have vegetarian food but the selection is very limited I was only able to get a vegetarian appetizer. I ordered an appetizer and a gyro meal. The meal was decent but the appetizer was bland and lacking. They claimed it would be done in 15 minutes. It took over 50 minutes to get our food. I kept seeing them bring out food for the dine in customers but they just kept telling us 5 more minutes. There was even a couple who came in after us that sat down to eat that got their food before us. I am usually very understanding at restaurants but this experience was insulting. I have never felt so ignored and overlooked. My advice do not waste your time or money at this restaurant. I am never going here again.

I recently visited Sultan Darbar and was very impressed! The new owners have done a great job — the restaurant is now extremely clean, professional, and has a very welcoming atmosphere.
They offer a delicious mix of Afghani and Mediterranean food, with rich, authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.
I highly recommend Sultan Darbar and will definitely be coming back!

Tried their chicken gyro. Absolutely delicious, however, it doesn't take Mediterranean. You'll taste South Asian spices all over it. Must try for sure but just wanted to share for people who are specifically craving for Greek Gyro flavor.

They just lost a very good regular customer. We went to order a family plater for 2 adults and 2 kids. Which should be enough $60 . The portion was very small. Chapli kaboob was burned. The Tikah kaboob you can’t even bite on since it was so hard to chew on. Rice was so little that we had to ask for extra. I did talk to the person in the front desk for feedback he was only shaking his head. I told him food is not good and if the something has changed he said no. No other action from him. We left very disappointed. Will never go back there. I don’t recommend this place.

We moved to Valley from Bay Area. This place is our favorite for Halal meat. Well maintained and friendly brothers, very helpful. We order a full goat and Chicken as often as needed and they never disappointed in quality or quantity. Tried Afghan food too, was good. Overall a great place in Modesto.

Vegetarian options: You can always call them and ask they are very responsive.

It’s really disappointing that someone pay $20 for a plate of steak and rice. the rice was full of bloody, bloody oil and vegetable was disgusting. Only the steak was delicious , only was five small pieces.
