Verona's Cucina Italiana

The food is great but the service is very bad and slow. I did not feel very welcomed there. They do not check to see if you need anything else and they just disappear. They need better staff to make it more enjoyable.

We have been here a few times in the past two years. While we live almost two hours away, anytime we're in the Modesto area, this is our go to place. The food is always delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. Tonight we had concert tickets for 7:30 pm. We arrived for dinner at 6:00 pm and told our server about our tight schedule. Our server made sure that we were properly taken care of in our short time. The chicken marsala was excellent. We look forward to our next trip to Modesto so we can come back. Thanks for a great meal.

Service was excellent for a Thursday night and the food was reasonably priced and very delicious! Never Disappoints! Little Bright on light from what I recall. But all and all everyone was attentive and focused on our needs. Thank You

Had not been to this restaurant for many years. There were 8 of us. Service started out well. We had 2 bread baskets and the calamari tentacles. Bread was very good. Calamari not so much but OK. I had the Calamari Livornese. Entrees were delivered efficiently and in a timely manner. Once we had all received our dishes, however, service ended. Asked the waitress two times or water as did my son in law to no avail. Four of us ordered sambucca up with coffees. One decaf was delivered fairly quickly. The other three were ignored despite our polite reordering. Exasperating! My meal was underdone, vegetables raw and little flavor and some unidentifiable substance ( perhaps bread with cheese and marinara sauce ). Clam chowder was delicious. I will not return to this establishment.

I LOVE Veronas food, but for a lunch menu...it is not very affordable to go often, which I would love to do. Is it possible at lunch to have 1 small plate special: like the fish of the day over risotto with a half portion??? That is what my friends and I discussed yesterday.

Food is normally top notch, but the veggies were cold, the calamari steak was overdone, not the usual quality we've come to expect from Verona

My dad's 83rd birthday. Ten of us! Mel handled this rowdy bunch flawlessly. He got everything right. Not one mistake. Wonderful time!

I had chicken marsala and totally dry! My husband enjoyed his meal and the appetizer was delicious.

Menu looks good but unable to execute I suspect they had a cook that day. The parpadelle was undercooked,unable to eat it.The gnocchis were gummy due to dough overworked or proportions wrong.Mistakes too elementary for chef.

Our dinner was was delicious. Paul was on point with expedient and impeccable in service. We were on a timeline to get to a show at Gallo and got to the show on time satiated from a great meal and experience. We'll be back!

The beet salad was delicious. The sole entree and melenzane were cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding.

We hadn't intended to eat it for my son's birthday. My husband was in the hospital so I ordered Pizza Hut to pickup at 4:30 on the way home. When we arrived, we were told it was a 2 hour wait. So plan B, my son picked Kobe Buffett. So we went home to get my other son and drive to Kobe. We'll, they are closed on Tuesdays. So I thought of Verona's since we all like Italian. Our waitress was great and we enjoyed our meals. It was a bit noisy so we probably should have picked outdoor seating. Under the circumstances, my son still had a great birthday.
