What a find!. I mean it was my birthday so we searched for something that tickled my requirements in the area we were staying. Such a warm and welcoming reception. The thing is I messaged a week ago on Insta and they held my spot. When we arrived we were treated like royalty .Food and wine was amazingly accompanied with great hospitality. We arrived at 1930 left at 2330.
This is an amazing place. X

Oh my gosh what an absolute gem this place is. The service was quick, knowledgeable and friendly, the vibes are welcoming and cozy with a slightly elevated feel. I swear you feel like you're at home when you're here. Julie, the owner takes time to talk with her guests make them feel special. This restaurant has an excellent wine menu, with many things that are not listed so I recommend telling the staff what you like and letting them pick a flight for you. The FOOD is out of this world splendid. Everything is made from scratch and made to order and absolutely DELICIOUS. I swear I was raving about the food all night. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Perfect for a cozy date night, or getting wine with the girls. My wife and I got 2 plates, 2 flights, 2 full glasses of wine, and 2 glasses of vermouth and spent $150.

Had a lovely time enjoying the wine and the small plates. Some wine is not on the menu so be sure to ask. The food she makes is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend coming here.

The service is really bad. The owner Julie yells and speaks with unnessesary attitude. She is very rude. It ruined our night. DO NOT go here.

Great wine, great wine accompaniments, great atmosphere, great company, and at a price point much lower than any similar businesses in the entire San Gabriel Valley. As a wine enthusiast- especially European wines- it's pretty difficult to find anywhere with a selection that's better than big brand wine stores. The Saltner is refreshing in this manner, having a massive list with options for all over the globe and very few options over $50. Additionally, the service has always been great. We love have a glass with Julie on Sunday afternoons and she's a wonderful source of information about wine options. It's pretty simple, if you enjoy good wine, you should be able to really enjoy The Saltner. See you on Sunday!

I don’t ever share my thoughts or opinions on restaurants unless I am absolutely appalled. I tried this place out for the first time with a couple friends. The person who sat us, was explaining the wine choices while commenting rudely about her staff saying the word “**** “in her sentences. They forgot to bring us our 4 ounce $15 wine, we had to get up to ask for it. We ordered the stuffed mushroom for $9.50, it was the size of the small packaged store bought mushrooms you get at the grocery store, needless to say, our bill was $78, for two mushrooms, and two glasses of wine, they charged us double for one of the wines. Stay away from this place if you’re hungry. customer service is terrible, the food portions are laughable, and the wine is over priced!

Quiet little place in Monrovia off Colorado Blvd. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Menu has a lot of great options and they had French onion soup as the special that day...and it was great! We chose the 2 person charcuterie and the pate. Everything on the board was delicious, but the pate. I love pate and order it every time if it's on the menu, but I would recommend to skip it.We went on a Sunday and they had half off glasses of any open bottles, and they also have 3oz and 6oz pours. We enjoyed a lovely Rosé.
