You guys need to update your hours on yelp. I showed up at six and they said you guys closed at five. The hours that are listed on yelp say you close at nine. I drove a long way to get this experience. I'm very disappointed.

Ok so I lived in southern Louisiana for a couple years so my standards may be lofty. However, I've never had a po boy in which half the shrimp is served outside of the bun. Assemble yourself po boy???

On my quest to find unforgettable Mac & cheese... this one has settled into my top 3. My only complaints: the serving size is SO SMALL & they are only open Friday to Sunday! So you know what that means? Order multiples every weekend!! I recently tried their Cajun shrimp for giggles, and I was not disappointed. Come on Friday nights when this spot has a DJ or on Sunday mornings for the special brunch items. This spot is nestled into the Blvd in Montebello- a cute spot with several other pop up style eateries that have a full residency there. Street parking only. No pictures because..it's just that good and all gone before I could take any!

We decided to give Nola Cajun another try and had a better experience. I even saw that they changed/moved away from the plastic containers which was a plus for me. This time the customer service was good and we ordered the same thing - Two orders of fried shrimp and fried catfish, which was good. My only complaint is to let someone order the meats/seafood independent of the sides (i.e. I only wanted two pieces of catfish but I would've had to order two meals to do so according to the person that took our order).

We had a great experience. Food and service was 10/10. Ordered the po boy, the shrimp creole and the cajun chicken with mac & cheese and the collard greens. I almost didn't order the greens because I don't be eating every body greens lol but I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. All the food was hot and fresh and full of flavor. Love the hot sauce too

This place has great macaroni and cheese and the regular fried shrimp was really good. The po'boy sandwiches though.... Absolutely not. I've had a lot of po'boys in my day of many different varieties. This was one of the worst. First of all, they gave me about 6 popcorn shrimp on a long roll that was piled mile high with lettuce and tomatoes. They haphazardly splashed a spoonful of sauce on the roll and that was supposed to qualify as a sandwich. My ancestors and I were equally horrified when I received the sandwich. As the sandwich itself was more expensive than the pound of large shrimp that my friend received I took the sandwich back and asked if I could just get th shrimp instead. They argued with me instead stating that's how a po'boy is made. Someone with no cultural ties to the south arguing with someone whose family still lives in the South. Right. They then proceeded to bring me a large box containing 6 of my uneaten popcorn shrimp! I threw the entire thing away and decided that was $16 I was comfortable losing rather than support this terrible shop with really rude staff.

This is my second review about that place, the first one was censored by Yelp, and I don't really understand why. I was stating in my previous review that I didn't understand the hype and the rating about the "restaurant". You have to crouch to place your order through a window, the person who took it wasn't very friendly and I could only get a gumbo that day because they didn't have jambalaya. The food was average at best and it was very disappointing.

I was very excited to try. Drove out from Pomona on a Sunday to try it. Kinda disappointed, I wanted to try the gumbo but it was sold out. Got the jambalaya, rice was dry. Sausage was so thin and dry, more like a stick of jerky. There was more rice than sausage and shrimp. My kids each got the Po boy and they said it was good. I will try again. Hopefully next time they have gumbo.

5 stars for the fried catfish. It was certainly delicious! 3 stars for the fries - some were undercooked -100 stars for their rice. Not sure what happed here...maybe their rice cooker was broken? If it's supposed to be crunchy and undercooked, then I don't like cajun style rice. I took one bite and had to throw the rest out. It's probably the worst rice I have ever had. Even Panda Express' steamed rice is better and their rice is terrible. Luckily, some of my fries were cooked correctly.

I just discovered this place. Their Jambalaya is my fave and they know how to do those greens.I'm accustomed to southern style greens and this checks the box! The catfish was so good but pricey. It's worth it.

Amazing experience! Everything taste so authentic and delicious. The service is excellent. Highly recommended by a friend who live in the area. The gumbo was tasty, however it was a bit stingy when it comes to the crab meat.

In search of Cajun food, we ended up in Boulevard Market in Montebello. This food hall is pretty cool but small. Nola is 1 of 6 dining options. The menu is not extensive, but the classic dishes are available. We tried the Gumbo and Shrimp Creole. Gumbo has a good amount of shrimps & sausages, but it lacks broth, so it's a bit dry. In spite of it, it has flavor & is still pretty good. The Creole, on the other hand, is very brothy with tons of veggies, such as tomato, celery & onion. It is very delicious with enough shrimps. The rice comes separately, and you also get French baguette. Portion is good, & price is reasonable, so I would go back. Seating, common area only, is limited. There is also an indoor area with a bar. On a hot day, I would try to grab seats there with AC. Again it's a small space. The lady/cashier who took our order was very nice & pleasant. You get a buzzer after ordering & go pick up your food when it buzzes.

A must try! My husband and I went to New Orleans some years back and wow did NOLA take me back there. I tried their gumbo and Po’boy. It was so yummy. My 9 year old daughter who loves trying new foods couldn’t stop talking about how yummy the food was. My whole family gives it two thumbs up. Also did I mention that the owners are the sweetest.

I'm going to say something controversial, NOLA Cajun and Creole is way better than Boiling Crab. The season and the garlic butter are so flavoring. The experience is so much fun inside the outdoor food hall. The shrimp is jumbo size, the link is very good and has a nice kick to it but not flaming enough to go crying for some milk. The corn and potatoes are also delicious. It is a very filling meal even if you come with a group. Everyone is gonna get a full belly. Come out and support local this business and get a true taste of NOLA in LA county!
