The management at the Rosewood is pathetic and reaching for something unattainable. It's not their fault that their creator made them a class below. The Rosewood will forever have to watch from the sidelines as a fake, a plantation of pompous show, about as much substance as the foam on your 46$ espresso martini. To miss the mark is to sin, and that's just what the Rosewood is, a sin against the beauty of Santa Barbara, a facade. Behind the fake smiles of the staff is a deep and burning hatred for the management and the clientele. An artificial air engulfs the Rosewood, no amount of Picassos can mask the distain the employees have for their very lives and the culture. Ty Warner must want to make Santa Barbara into beggars, and Rick Fidel must be a double agent because the Rosewood has gone down hill and completely stinks - pushing the population to beg "Please Ty, open up the Biltmore!" Seriously when does the Biltmore open? Better yet just stay at San Ysidro! The #1 hotel in Santa Barbara!

This is a beautiful place to stay visit or what have you. There is one thing I have to say. My husband and friends had the pleasure of trying to try a new place to have a few drinks. Unfortunately this situation took a turn for the worst. Discrimination thats what it was and is. They got drinks and was told that they couldn't take there drink across the track when they saw other people do it. Im so unhappy that this happen. Because I was told this was the best place to eat,get drinks and stay at. They were given the opposite. So disappointed. Thanks bartender for everything.

Malibu Farms severed ties and left the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort in Montecito as the property continued to have poor service, high employee turnover with poor upper management. Malibu Farms has an impeccable reputation unlike the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel that continues to have an overall bad reputation since its opening.

This review concerns a Wedding we produced there. We (BELLA VITA EVENTS - EVENT PLANNERS) had the chance to work at the Rosewood Miramar Beach. We worked closely with Meg and Andrew, and woah! We don't have enough words to express our thoughts. This nugget located in Santa Barbara is a dream venue for event planners and any upscale luxurious events. The magical coastal backdrop and lush landscapes provide an enchanting setting for ceremonies and receptions. The attention to detail from the staff is unparalleled, ensuring a seamless and comfortable planning process & great delivery on event day. We were really satisfied with the luxurious accommodations, world-class amenities, and exquisite dining options contribute to an unforgettable experience for both the wedding party and guests. The Rosewood Miramar's commitment to creating a fairy-tale ambiance makes it a top choice for event planners looking to orchestrate truly enchanting events. And most importantly: the ambiance is incredibly stylish and sophisticated, yet the staff maintains a welcoming and super approachable/kind demeanor. Everything was perfect and it exceeded all the expectations for our couple! - BELLA VITA EVENTS BY DEBORAH JAMES.

The rose wood is a solid 3 stars! We had been to the rosewood in Montecito many times before but this was our first time staying on the property. All the times we had gone before were either for lunch or breakfast and it had always been amazing! Staying here has changed our perception of this property a little bit. We have stayed at some of the best hotels on the planet and I feel like anytime you get past the $1500 per day mark all the hotels are all great with good rooms, great locations, beautiful properties. What sets the higher price point hotels from the $700 or $800 hotels is the service! This is where I believe the rosewood in Montecito not necessarily failed but I would say missed the mark. We have stayed at other rosewoods around the world and we felt like this property does not even live up to those hotels when it comes to their service. We were originally going to stay for 2 nights but I am really glad now that we only stayed for 1 night. Our room with tax came out to be around $2,200 per night. I felt like $2,200 for this hotel was not worth it because of the little details in service. It all started before we even got to the hotel. We had contacted the concierge via whatsapp requesting a booking at Carusos their fine dining establishment. We were told that they were going to make a request to the restaurant to see if there was any availability. We got a text about 30 minutes later saying there was availability and if we wanted it. We confirmed with them and had a booking for the next night at our desired time slot. The next day while we were on our way to the rosewood we get a call from the hotel asking us that they noticed that we had put in a request to dine at Carusos and they had a spot open up. I went on to inform them that we already had a booking and we confirmed it with one of their concierge agents the day before. They went on to say that they did not see our booking and they weren't necessary rude over the phone but very dry in the sense of "I dont see a reservation". At this point I was just confused and I was like ok we will just take the reservation that you are offering us. Just the tone of voice was not rude but not nice at the same time either. This was out first situation in terms of the service. The second occurred while we were checking in. The check in agent was really dry and short as well. Not sure if this is the vibe they are going for but never had this type of experience checking in at any other the other high end hotels. After checking in my wife and I decided to go to the beach bar. I was extremely confused as to why I had to wait 30 minutes in order to grab a drink. We are staying on the property and 75% of the tables were empty yet we were still given a wait time of 30 minutes. This was a little annoying as the manor bar was not open so this was the only place to grab a drink but we had to wait. The next day we also headed to the revere room for breakfast and again there was another wait of about 20 minutes for a table even though we were guests of the hotel and there were a ton of empty tables. The hostess again had the same tone as the person on the phone and the check in agent. I honestly found the fact that we had to wait at these places even though we were staying at the hotel a little annoying to be honest. All the staff is on the younger side nothing against young people my wife and I are also pretty young. But it seems like the younger staff on the property is not as polished or trained in order to handle the type of clientele the Rosewood draws. They all just seem like they are simply doing a job and really dont care about providing a service. Everyone is a little monotone and just love handing out wait times! Also the dining at the hotel is hit or miss Carusos is Absolutely Fantastic 5/5 Manor Bar is Also amazing with great service 5/5 The revere Room food is ok service is ok 3/5 Beach Bar food and drinks are ok and service is ok 3/5 Ama Sushi has good service but the food is ok 3/5 The highlights The property and location are amazing Beach views Carusos

We had a fantastic time. We spent New years Eve there and it was a Blast. The NYE party in the ballroom exceeded all expectations. The bungalow was perfect and the amenities were on point. The spa has very qualified therapists and the cold plunge was a fun new addition. The staff were so courteous and remembered our names which felt very special. I look forward to staying there every NewYears Eve. Its the best place to bring in the new year

Tldr: gorgeous grounds, nice rooms, mediocre/disorganized service, most definitely not on par with other 5 star hotels with poor quality control (ex-hair in the shower), not worth the exorbitant price tag Service- We've stayed at a lot of five star hotels in North America, Europe and Asia, and certainly some of the best hotels in California, so expecting at least 3 star service for a 5 star, Uber pricey hotel like Rosewood Miramar is warranted. Valet guys were nice enough but we never got a text linking our reservation with the valet service as promised, after waiting half a day for the text we finally called and made sure they texted us- good thing we have a Tesla so we can track our vehicle but still. Not professional. The front desk was also nice enough but for an expansive resort, there was no map given or real introduction to the amenities etc. one of the shortest check in experiences we've had for such a nice resort. It rained while we were there and the golf cart pickup and drop off was nice and the drivers were friendly. We left our baby's diaper bag in our car and asked if they could retrieve it- if not we offered to come get it ourselves. They assured us they would bring it to us so we waited. Several hours later no call, no bag so we inquired about it, and again was reassured they'd bring it. Another few hours later had to call again and finally it was found. This was pretty annoying as we felt like we couldn't settle into the evening because we kept waiting for the bag to show up not to mention we needed the bag. Inconvenient and a huge lack of communication there. Room- We stayed in a garden bungalow which was nice and private, the coat room/powder room is separate which was nice. They included a crib and diaper genie without us asking which was helpful. But we found a long hair in the shower :( for a 5 star hotel that we're paying almost 2k a night for, that's unacceptable. The chrome cast for the tv wasn't working so when we called they replaced it quickly at least. The room otherwise was pretty well kept and again was private so that's a plus, but for the price tag you could get an ocean view room elsewhere, much less without a hair in the bathroom. For turn down service- no fun goodies or special touches- I know I'm extra here but most five start hotels usually provide chocolates or at least a nice card etc for turn down service that adds a little extra something, but nope just bare bones here. Food- Ordered room service twice, it came quickly both times and it was pretty good but again very overpriced. For example the granola bowl with fruit and berries I believe was $20, had a decent portion of granola but a super small amount of yogurt and berries. A breakfast burrito was $30? Checked out manor bar and the drinks and vibes were good but we felt gipped that for spending $$ on nice drinks they weren't decorated at all as they were advertised on Insta. The menu of drinks was super cute (villain themed) and we were expecting more garnishes and touches as advertised but nope the drinks came out superrrrr plain. Bummer when one of our drinks was $40. We dined at carusos- the prixe fixed menu was delicious and super vegetarian vegan friendly which was great. Our server was fine, but wasn't super friendly for it being a Michelin starred restaurant (so you expect five star service too), didn't really check up on how we felt about any of the dishes etc until almost the end of the meal. And they brought our check out before we finished our desserts lol. The restaurant was almost empty too (was raining) so idk why they wanted to rush us. Spa- Booked massages at the spa and the waiting area is quite small, the unisex lounge is nice but also pretty small. My husband enjoyed the steam room. The massage itself was actually quite finessed and the therapist was great at listening and checking in. Was it worth the $$? Not really but it's to be expected as part of a hotel spa so no qualms about that All this plus about $200 resort fee for the two night

I went to a birthday lunch. The holiday decorations were fantastic. The service was mediocre. The acoustics were terrible. It was soooo loud! The table was so wide you could not even talk to the people across from you. I repeat it was so loud. It took almost an hour to get my food and because I had to go I asked they just pack it to go. When I got to my next destination I saw my very sad looking /expensive $$$ /salad was missing the chicken. And the valet people were snarky /bored/ and grumpy and I watched them bringing people the wrong car. It is now on my Do Not Repeat list.

Luxurious waterfront bar at the illustrious Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito, California. Come for the sunset and stay for the refreshing cocktails and appetizers. My smoked old fashion was perfection and the seasoned tuna tostada was memorable.

Wonderful hotel. Rooms and location are fantastic. Food and beach are fantastic. but most important are the wonderful staff. Everything you'd expect in a Rosewood and more.
