It's easily the best Banh Mi joint in all of SoCal. This place tops them all. The attention to detail is superb. They come individually packaged in a box, sauce, and veggies on the side to keep the sandwich crisp. Bread made in house, probably, based on the way the bread has irregular edges and the overall quality. Bread is soft and light in the middle and extra crispy on the outside. The best sandwich here is the Roasted Pork. Listen, there's the usual dry roasted pork you get from those roasted duck houses, and then there's this. All you foodies know what im talking about. This roast is simply done right. It's crispy and light skin around soft juicy meat and fat. No hard glass shards breaking off a over done wet roasted pork belly here. It's roasted to perfection. You know it's cooked at a perfect 165 to retain the juices. The chef really really knows what he/she is doing. Don't expect all meat and no fat. It's not a bourgeois place. And dont expect a 12 dollar rip off. It's not that either. It's a wholesome mom and pop join that service fair priced $7.50 specialty sandwiches that you can't even compare to quality in Vietnam's best joint. Come here with confidence, it's simply the best Banh Mi in all of Southern California. I'm willing to bet the best for its price in all of the US and Vietnam combined. Go try it and you will definitely agree. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong.

Don’t know what all the hype was about. I just did a google search for banh mi and it was the closest location. A lot of people raving it was the best banh mi because the bread was so delicious because it was crunchy of the outside and soft on the inside. I guess I had to try.
Ordering was normal. The wait is crazy, like 30 minutes. I got the roast pork and special ham banh mi.
The special ham was greasy as well and I couldn’t enjoy it. The roasted pork is kinda like Sam woo roasted pork but chopped up into bite size bits stuffed into a sandwich.
They also had a sauce that I can’t exactly figure out what the flavor is, but I know I’ve tasted it somewhere. It’s ok but it will overwhelm the sandwich if you just pour it on.
The bread is excellent. Definitely a “5 star” bread but a banh mi isn’t just bread, it’s also the internals that count. Overall a 3 star for the sandwich. If you really want a flavorful banh mi, there one on valley and 4 or 5th street. Now thats a banh mi that is old school and delicious.

The homemade bread at this Banh Mi venue is really outstanding. So crispy, and not too dense. Flavours of the fillings are really well balanced, and the portion size is perfect. Meatballs (xiu mai) are moist and tasty, roast pork is crispy and flavourful.
They pack the herbs and pickled veg separately, which is handy since my kids are not big fans of coriander and chili.
Super friendly service, with complementary iced tea. The venue is not big but still can accommodate a few small groups, which is not often in a banh mi only shop.
The customer just before me placed a very big order, but the wait time was still reasonable.
I'm not a local, but would love to visit this bakery again if coming back to L.A.
A customer from Australia. ;)

Freshly baked French bread on premises.
Sandwich was okay/good something different from other sandwiches stores. The bread itself is smaller compared to regular bread size, the fillings meat/ veggies for the sandwiches overall was a bit less on portion.
Packaging/ presentation in the paper box was a nice touch but the sauce in the plastic container and the veggie in the plastic sandwich bag got me turned off. No plastic please.
Be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes during lunch hours because they don't have enough man power to pump out freshly baked bread.
Indoor seating are available if you prefer to eat your sandwich on premises.
Parking: The store is located at the corner.

Probably the best banh mi in LA (OC got their own lol). It’s the bread. Crispy outside, soft inside, the crispy pork & the pate, and the separately bagged pickles. Sooo tasty! & great for take out. They baked their own bread. Expected some wait, order ahead if you have a large order. I had to wait a little bit longer cuz they are baking a new batch of bread! Smelled so good!
It’s not a place for atmospheric dine in experience.
