Hole in the wall, hidden gem, mom & pop vibes! they take card!
I can't get over these egg noodles in this wonton mein! seems like most places serve it up clumped together and you need to split your chopsticks to break them apart - BUT NOT HERE. they are silky and bouncy! and the soup is nicely flavored, enhancing everything in the dish. you also get four big wontons filled with plump shrimp and pork. I also love their hainan chicken, well seasoned, and the filet mignon has a nice kick.
Nice selection of traditional asian dessert options in individual serving sides (tofu pudding with ginger syrup, "che thai", ube tofu, etc.) and they also sell their wontons/dumplings frozen + noodles in packages.
parking is available on the street!
limited seating, but a lot of folks are doing takeaway!

Super authentic. The boss imported the bamboo noodles from Hong Kong.

Wow. This place is so nostalgic!!! First of all the hainan chicken is perfectly cooked. Even without using the dipping sauce, it is incredibly tasty. A good portion too. LOVE.
And we took home two gallon sized bags of frozen dumplings and wontons. They were easy to pop in a boiling pot and taste so good. The fillings were generous.
We will absolutely be back to this mom and pop shop. One of the owners ran the front of house and she was so sweet. Such a gem in Monterey Park.

Yum! Clean, simple Hong Kong comfort dishes for take out. Their $11.95 dumpling egg noodle soup was amazing! They have both yellow wrapped (Hong Kong style) wonton, and white wrapped (Shanghai style) dumpling. I got confused thinking dumplings was regular dumplings, but I think they mean white wrapped wontons. They also sell frozen wontons (50pc) $27 for wontons, $30 for white skin wontons/they call dumplings. Takes credit card.
$11.95 Dumpling Soup includes 8 dumplings. If you want noodles, then it'll include 4 dumplings with a choice of noodles (flat, vermicelli, or egg). The dumplings are white wontons.
$4-$6 Herbal, dessert drinks to fresh tofu. My $4.95 Green bean and seaweed dessert was refreshing, and anti-inflammatory.
Looking forward to trying more items like their regular wontons, beef dishes, $12.95 hainan chicken on rice, and $9.95+ congee. Apparently their receipt says Congee & Noodle House (previously what their business was called?).
Located next to a water refill place if wanted to also refill there.

Our family always come to here to order birthday cake, love their Taro cake and fruit cakes! Afternoon tea time we like to share a nice cream cake roll. They also have delicious bread, get the pork song and green onions bread, or the white sliced bread! Those egg roll pastries and cookies are great too! Anyway if you have chance, pick a closer location to try some of the stuff here!
This bakery has a good selection oaf sweets, but the egg custard tarts caught my eye. There were three types and I selected the crispy crust egg custard tart. It was excellent. It was served warm, flaky crust and smooth rich egg custard --awesome!
What an amazing bakery full of interesting treats. They are known for their mooncakes. They were very pricey so we didn't try them. The Chinese pastries tend to be sticky and not so sweet. It was fun just looking around at all the interesting items.

Their pound cake is quite delicious, price is not too pricey . The custard is fine as well as the bun. I would give an Average on the overall.
This place is a solid performer. My family used to own a bakery that served a similar line of products. So I have some perspective on this. This is now my go to place for Hong Kong style baked breads and Chinese style sponge cakes as well as mooncakes.
Try the curry beef pies. They are delicious. Also love the original egg tarts. Service is fast and friendly here. A great place!
While searching for tea house for dim sum, we saw this shop. Selling traditional bakery items, the prices are not cheap when compared to BC. However, they seemed to be operating under the genuine name of the Hong Kong store. Various choices for you to choose and business is not bad as there is a queue when we visited the shop around 10:15 am on Tuesday. Only take out as it is just a bakery shop and there is no eating area to offer.
