The fried squid was to die for. This one looks like a little Donnie Darko
Authentic taiwanese cuisine.
We took beef noodle soups of course, and fried chicken and squid nuggets.
Everything taste very good.
The lemon teas we ordered were HUGE.
Service is fast and friendly.
We had a table right away, no need to wait. Finding a parking place may be difficult, parking is small and sharef with the supermarket next door.
If you’re looking for phenomenal Taiwanese food, P P Pop is very much worth the drive no matter where you might be in the LA area. I’d recommend rounding up a large party so you can sample as much of the menu as possible because everything my group tried was very good, if not outright excellent. The Beef Noodle Soup, with its hearty broth and wonderfully tender pieces of meat, and especially the Pan Fried Pork Bao, were unquestionably the highlights.
The pork rolls in pork ramen are not fresh and I get diarrhea after eating it.
Good Taiwanese spot for noodles and dumplings
Super comfort food with the beef noodles, beef roll, onion pancake, spicy wonton, and popcorn chicken. Good to share with a company. Be sure to pair it with a big cup of lemon ice tea
Always delicious and great service

Glad to discover another nice Taiwanese restaurant around LA. Very hospital staff. The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. In all, don’t expect anything extraordinary, but great value and certainly above peers.

We got the pan fried buns (10/10) very juicy, pan fried pork and chive dumplings (8/10) tasty & juicy but could be more flavorful, pork XLB (3/10) not flavorful nor much soup, bok choy (7/10) it was fine but kinda greasy. I'd love to try noodles next time. I wish they had more drink choices like soy milk. Also would be nice to have some cold dish like a cucumber salad or something. Went on a Sunday afternoon and was seated quickly but then there were a lot of ppl lined up when we left.
Great small spot next to a grocery store. The spicy beef noodle soup is fantastic. The fried calamari is spicier than you think it will be. Be sure to get a big mug of their tea or milk tea.
